The pictures are nice and visually accurate, but don’t capture the limited hot water, not totally clean floors, low quality linens, and missing details.
One of the rooms had satin sheets on the bed, in a room that could only generously be described as someone’s “hookup room”. The rest of the sheets and towels were very low quality and felt like they 20 years old. The kitchen flatware had maybe 5 forks.
The thermostat was set such that it couldn’t be set to lower than 70, a problem at night in South Florida. The hot water barely worked….if turned all the way over the shower was just warm at best….and the garage was locked such that you can’t see the hot water heater. This is all intentional.
These are embarrassing gaps for a property at this price.

While our recent stay at the VRBO had some positive aspects, there were several significant issues that impacted our overall experience. Upon arrival, we noticed several maintenance concerns that detracted from the property. Broken doors, holes in walls, and decor knocked off the walls were unexpected and gave an initial impression of neglect.
Additionally, the condition of the linens and towels was disappointing. Some hand towels in the kitchen were wet, while towels in the third bedroom were noticeably damp. Furthermore, we found that one set of sheets was not as clean as we would have expected.
The outdoor area was also not in a condition that we could enjoy. The yard was waterlogged and unusable for the duration of our stay. We also discovered burnt cigarettes, garbage, and a broken beer tap in the backyard, which detracted from the overall ambiance.
One of the most significant issues we encountered was the inconsistent availability of hot water. Only one of the bathrooms had consistently hot water, which was a significant inconvenience.
Despite these challenges, the communication with the owner was responsive and accommodating. After we reported the issues, the owner promptly arranged for the hot water to be fixed and provided requested cleaning supplies. However, it was evident that the property may benefit from more proactive maintenance and upkeep.
