  • Great place to stay!

    5/5

Me and my 3 boys stayed at this condo and we really enjoyed it! It was clean and in a community where it felt safe. I had a wagon so I put all 3 kids in it and walked to the 2 pool areas and the beach access 71 that is right outside the condo. The boys loved the pools. It was two story so I just brought a baby gate to keep the boys safe in their room at night. I was able to easily contact the owner if I needed anything too.

We had a wonderful week at Portside! Mia was great at communicating with us! The pools and hot tub were clean, the grounds were kept up nicely and the location to the beach was wonderful! It was quiet and peaceful there! It is also pet friendly, which is so nice! There were lots of pet areas and waste bags were made available. There are some restaurants and things within walking distance, but you would need to drive to the Pier Park area. Traffic can get a little congested at times. The unit itself was clean and well stocked! All the appliances worked great and it had a fabulous washer and dryer in the unit. There were plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and things made available along with some cleaning supplies, which were great! The beds were comfortable. My daughter said she hadn't slept so good in a long time! We loved the private balcony off of the master bedroom! There was a hair dryer, hangers, iron and ironing board, and plenty of towels available! There were plenty of channels on the TV and the kids were happy to be able to log into their streaming services. Some cards and board games along with some books were in the unit to use also! In the shed, there were some beach items to use, which was great! The beach wagon was a lifesaver! The beach chairs are getting old and rusty but were still usable! They may need to be replaced soon. We purchased an additional boogie board to use in addition to the one available and left it there for the next family to use. The only negatives were that the interior doors kept getting stuck (likely due to the humidity in the area), the upstairs balcony screen door is broken and hard to use (we kept having to put it back on the track), and it took us a minute to figure out the lock on the front door (that was more user error than anything). None of this effected our enjoyment, just some minor things to be fixed. Overall it was fantastic and we highly recommend it to anyone!
