Basic Dwelling
2/5 Entrance door drags when opening and closing, AC filter was damaged, purchased a new filter. No extra set of keys provided, purchased a set of keys and left them after the stay. Refrigerator was very noisy when cycling. Furniture very unpleasant, smelt like a dog bed. Purchased fabric deodorizer to spray the furniture. Furniture really needs to be replaced or at the least professionally cleaned. On the day of arrival the general area appeared that the cleaning company had just finished, items pulled back from the wall where cleaning was performed and not returned back to a normal position. Kitchen, bathroom and vanity area acceptable.

Hi Babe, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- Thank you for staying in our Longboat Key, Florida condominium and leaving a review, as guest feedback is vitally important to us and the success of our vacation rental business.
- In order to stop lizards and other insects from entering the property, rubber was added across the bottom of the door. This is why the entrance door drags when opening and closing it.
- Thank you for the feedback about the furniture smell. We will have it professionally cleaned to remediate this issue.
- We provide a lockbox code for our guests so they can go straight to their unit, then inside on the table is an extra key for the guest to use. We always have extra keys in the office, so we are happy that you received one, but sorry that you felt like you had to make an additional key.
- We will check on the refrigerator and have our maintenance person review the noise. The Air conditioner filter was replaced by us the same day you notified our cleaning team.
We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. Had you informed our office, we would have taken immediate action to resolve any issue.

4/5 We really enjoyed the location for this condo; a quick walk to the back of the property brings you to a nice dock overlooking the bay where you will see lots of fish. A short walk across the street and through the parking lot takes you to the gorgeous beach. Plenty of beach chairs and room to spread out on the beach. The condo itself is a bit dated, but this was not bothersome. It was clean and the bed sheets were cotton, a huge plus and difficult to get anymore! The interior space provides what is needed, however it would be nice if there was a bit left in the kitchen to make it easier for travelers. We found a bit of black pepper in a shaker, and a few take-out packets of salt; there are no other spices or such in the kitchen (we are used to stays that have truly fully stocked kitchens, including spices and other things that make it easier for travelers to simply shop for groceries, and not things they will have to leave behind). We left behind a new thing of plastic wrap that I hope someone else gets to use after us. We smelled that "musty" smell that others have complained about, and it seemed the culprit was a very dirty filter for the air conditioning. Rebecca had that changed within a few minutes of me alerting to her to it, and that relived that odor significantly. A cooler would be a great addition to the condo, as we had to use plastic bags to carry our things to the beach and as soon as you walk away, the crows would show up and start tearing into them. Travelers that are flying in as we did would be limited on brining all they need and these little things are so sweet to have at the ready. There was a beach umbrella there that we made great use of and were so appreciative of. All in all, a good place to stay that would be great with minimal touches.
LBK Beach Castle
5/5 Great location on LBK. Well appointed condo with beach and bay access. Nice deck overlooking fountain and palm trees. Has all you need. We loved it.
