• Disappointing Stay Ruined by Serious Issues and Host's Behavior

  Our recent stay at this property was extremely disappointing. While the house itself appeared new and had potential, the experience was overshadowed by numerous issues that made it far from enjoyable.

  The most serious problems were:

  Cleanliness: Upon arrival, the front porch was littered with garbage bags, plastic cups, and other debris. Inside, one of the twin beds in the Lego-themed room had urine-stained sheets, a blanket, and a protective cover, which was both disgusting and unacceptable. Several pillowcases in another bedroom were also stained.

  Safety & Comfort: The second-floor rug had a strong musty odor that suggested pet urine, making it unpleasant and unhealthy for our family, especially the children.

  Guest Readiness: Minor issues like missing TV remotes and a soccer game table without a ball could have been overlooked if the larger problems hadn't already ruined the experience.

  However, what made this experience truly unbearable was the owner’s combative and unprofessional communication. Instead of addressing our concerns constructively, she was defensive, dismissive, and even aggressive. When we reported the issues, she repeatedly blamed us, denied the validity of our claims despite photo evidence, and bombarded us with messages that became harassing and deeply disturbing. Her refusal to take ownership of these issues made an already bad situation worse.

  Even though the owner will likely post a response blaming us or deflecting responsibility, this only underscores her unwillingness to acknowledge and address her mistakes. It’s clear she does not prioritize guest experience or professionalism, and this behavior is unacceptable for a property listed on a platform like Evolve.

  While the house had potential and some nice features, none of that could outweigh the serious issues we encountered and the terrible communication from the owner. I sincerely hope future guests have a better experience, but I cannot in good faith recommend this property to anyone.

  - We have high cleaning standards and take pre-arrival photos to ensure the home is guest-ready. We wish we had known about the bedding concerns earlier so we could have sent our cleaning team to take care of them.
  - The TV remote was later found in the game room, and game balls were provided the next day.
  - We strive for professional and helpful interactions and regret if this experience falls short. Your feedback is valued, and we’ll continue working to enhance future stays.
