This condo was a good size for 6 adults. Liked having a washer and dryer. The house wasn't as clean as I would have liked. The rail on the stairs was sticky and dirty as were the walls in the stairwell. All the baseboards had caked on dust. The couch could use a steam cleaning. The beds were clean as were the toilets and sinks. The tub was so so but ok for a shower. A little disappointed that despite a hefty cleaning fee, you had to strip beds and put all bedding and towels in a pile for cleaning crew.

Hi Sharon, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We use a cleaning service to have the home professionally cleaned before each guest's arrival. We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed addressing. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home.
- We have already had the stairwell walls cleaned. We will also have our cleaning crew wipe down the baseboards and deeply clean the bathtubs. We do have the couch cleaned regularly & are in the process of looking for new furniture so our guests will be comfortable and enjoy their stay.
- We are sorry to hear you encountered some maintenance issues. The railing on the stairs was recently painted & they used a glossy paint which is causing it to be sticky, so they are in the process of sanding and repainting the railing to correct this issue.
- While we do regret our home was not up to your expectations, we are happy to share that no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend.

The rental was filthy. The staircase handlebar was sticky. The carpet was covered in stains. The couch was stained. One of the baths was clogged and didn’t drain. The other shower was super mildewy. The towels were thin and rough. The smoke alarm batteries died during our stay so we had to run to CVS to get replacement batteries so it would stop beeping. The bags they left for the trash can did not fit in the trash can. Therefore, every time we tried to use them, they ripped. Kitchen items were stored under the kitchen sink, which had dead bugs down there. While we were unloading the car, a raccoon came up and tried to get into our car. There was trash under the beds. This was the grossest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The walls were stained and sticky. We have stayed at an Evolve rental before, but this one was horrid. This experience might have pushed us back over to hotel stays.

Owner's response: "Brittany, we're very sorry to hear your experience did not live up to our normal high standards. We apologize for the lack of cleanliness.
- We are in the process of sanding and repainting the staircase handle, the type of paint that is being used is a bit sticky.
- We did not see any evidence of stains on the carpet but will get it professionally cleaned.
- We do have the couch deep cleaned and steamed often to ensure it is clean.
- The bathroom drain that was clogged, has been fixed.
- We spoke to the cleaning crew about the mildewy shower and they will get this resolved and will be sure it doesn't happen again.
- We have looked at the towels and they are newer and not scratchy.
- We keep backup batteries in the house, if you had reached out we could have let you know where they were so that you could replace them. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- We provide 30-gallon trash bags, we're not sure why they didn't work as they usually do.
- The only items stored under the sink are the drain plug and dish scrubber. We have never had an issue with bugs under the sink but will have the cleaning crew look into it and address it if needed.
- We have no control over the critters in the area, sorry about the raccoon.
- We do take cleanliness very seriously and have shared your feedback with the cleaners. They will ensure each guest walks into a home that is 100% clean and sanitized for all future guests.
