  • Huge disappointment


    Well to start this off I was traveling from PA to FL during the winter months so what was most exciting was the warm weather and getting away from the snow. But all that excitment ended shorlty after arriving at this house. My kids asked for 1 thing, a hot tub. So I delivered and found a home with a hot tub. We arrived shortly after check in and my kids headed straight for the hot tub. We got to the hot tub and the cover was caved in due to poor conditions and full of rain water with a temperature of 75. After getting the water off the cover to open it we found ants and their eggs and maggots under the head rest to the hot tub. You can imagine how gross that was. I IMMEDIATELY contacted my host and explained this needed to be attended to ASAP. My reply was I have already informed the owner of the property as the last renter had the same issue and the property owner doesnt seem to care. So trying to save a huge disappointment with my kids I tried to put them in the bath tub while I fixed this issue so they could still have a hot bath. Well the tub doesnt plug and therefore no hot bath either. This led me to calling Evole and demanding a refund or another house because this is unacceptable! I had a great Customer Service rep that got maintenance out the next day to fix the hot tub which took another 24 hrs to be heated to temp of 104. Needless to say we couldnt use the tub 3 out of the 5 days we stayed. After getting more settled into the house we found way more issues. Dead bugs in every corner, water backed up in the shower when flushing the toilet or doing laundry, and the random cockroach that would run across the floor. At this point of my stay I was informed by all parties that nothing would be done to help us or fix the problem because the house was being sold in 2 weeks. I pitty the person buying this property. The lawn was not mowed for quit a period of time and after complaining about that they mowed the front lawn only and we still had tall grass in the backyard. Then my children and husband started to feel ill while being at the house and after looking up in the AC vent in the celing we found mold. So my family of 4 all got sick after breathing in mold spores when the heat/ac would kick on. At some point of my stay I stopped complaining because I was told by everyone it didnt matter and nothing would be done. This is very disappointing when your paying A LOT of money to have a great vacation. NO REFUND WAS OFFERED NOR WAS ANOTHER PROPERTY.

    Hi Samantha, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowners, we would like to share the following:
    - We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your visit. Since your stay, this home has been taken over by new owners, who are already making improvements and are committed to making every guest experience enjoyable.
    - The new hot tub cover has been ordered and is expected to arrive within a week. Rest assured, the hot tub has been thoroughly cleaned and is now on a regular maintenance schedule.
    - A new drain plug is being added to the tub to address the issue. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
    - We are actively addressing the pest control matter and are committed to resolving it promptly.
    - Our maintenance team has made two visits to address the issue with the toilet. While there has been improvement, it has not been fully resolved yet. Rest assured, we've scheduled repairs for April to ensure a permanent solution.
    - The lawn has been recently mowed completely, and we've arranged for weekly care going forward to ensure it remains well-kept.
    - HVAC technicians have serviced the unit by fully cleaning it and replacing the filter. Despite it being only a year old, they believe it may be oversized for the house. As a result, we've scheduled a new unit to be installed in April to better suit the property's needs.
    - From us here at Evolve, upon further investigation into your concerns, we found that the reported issues didn't warrant the requested refund. The previous homeowner promptly addressed the issues while you were still in residence by sending over a maintenance crew. They worked diligently to satisfy the requests you made during your stay.
    We truly appreciate you sharing your concerns as it gives us the means to improve and provide 5-star experiences moving forward.

  • Inverness Stay


    We had a wonderful three night stay. We got to visit family that lives right across the lake, and the house was adorable. The kids had a great time kayaking and hanging out in the hot tub. Kelly was very responsive/helpful with any questions we had, and the home was clean and comfy! Cattle Dog Cafe and the old school barber shop next door were fantastic! We will be back!

  • Just what we needed....


    I rented this place originally because my sisters and I were going to come to town to visit our father. Unfortunately, he passed a couple of weeks before our trip. Fortunately, this place still ended up being the exact thing we needed while we were in town for the service. Easily accessible to Inverness was a big help. The house ended up being an oasis where we could connect, relax, and have a safe place to process and be with each other. It really was fantastic, and even though it was a tough time while there, the house was a welcome place to retreat to where we could be together. Everyone I connected with about the rental was available and supportive. I so appreciated being there. I would absolutely stay there again if heading back into town.
