  • Good but needs some improvements

My husband and I took a weekend vacation with another couple and chose this area because it was close to the Withlacoochee Bike Trail. The house was very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had enough equipment for basic meals, and there was plenty of hot water for showers. However, my friend tried to take a bath and only got warm water at best, maybe because of a tankless water heater? The neighborhood was very quiet, even on New Year's Eve! Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but there are things that would have made it more comfortable. It was a cold weekend so we used the heater, which worked well once it kicked on. We actually called the property manager (who returned my call within minutes) to ask if it worked by remote start because it took so long to turn on. Or, we just didn't know how to operate this particular system, and in that case, written instructions would be helpful. There wasn't enough comfortable seating in the living room for 4 adults. The bean bag chair is fine for kids but not for adults. The room needed (and could hold) a loveseat or oversized chair. The bedroom with queen bed needs a bedside lamp on both sides of the bed. Both bedrooms could use a bench or table, some place to put luggage other than in the closet or on the floor. The master bathroom sinks didn't drain well. The refrigerator was clean, but it smelled strongly of fish. There was a box of baking soda on the shelf, but that didn't cut through the strong smell. Again, nice place and very clean but could use some improvements.

  • Nice but could use a few improvements

My husband and I and another couple stayed at this house for New Year's Eve weekend. We booked it last minute and chose it for it's proximity to the Withlacoochee bike trail. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was fairly well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet, even on New Year's Eve, and it felt safe. Improvements could be made, though, with the furniture. The living room has a couch, a wood rocking chair, and a large beanbag chair. Since we had 4 adults in the house, someone had to take the beanbag chair if we were going to hang out or watch a movie, and it wasn't comfortable. There is room for another loveseat or upholstered chair in that space, and since the listing says the house can accommodate 6 people, comfortable seating for 6 would make movie night much more enjoyable. Also, our friends stayed in the room with a queen bed, and there was only a bed lamp on one side of the bed. They are both readers, but one of them didn't have enough light to read. Easy fixes!

Clean, nicely outfitted home located close to Rainbow River on a quiet street. We especially enjoyed the board games and grill and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway with our family!
