• Couldn't Have Been a Better Place

  This condo was reasonably priced & so clean - cleaner than I expected (I am picky about other people's hair & dirt!). There wasn't a clue that anyone else stayed there before us. All linens were so clean too. It was spacious for a couple (possibly a small child or two). The living room was adequate for relaxing, the kitchen for cooking simple meals, & the bedroom spacious. Very simply & nicely decorated. If you want to prepare complex or gourmet meals, then this kitchenette will not do. We used a couple pots, plates, & stove burners each meal, which was adequate for a couple.

  I did hours of searching for places in Daytona Beach before I chose (our first time there). What I learned was that many pools are not re-opened after damage from the hurricanes years ago. However, this one was open, which made my decision final. We could not have enjoyed the heated pool more. It was worth staying there just to have this pool wherein we spent hours, which contributed to the enjoyment of our vacation.

  There is a side view of the ocean, which was great, because the hot sun was not glaring directly on the balcony, & we spent many enjoyable hours there at different times of day. We easily saw the sunrises & turned our heads to watch the sunsets. Beautiful views!

  The negative, which is not a dealbreaker, is that the balcony overlooks the public park, which was less than desirable. We were 7 stories up, so not near it, just overlooking it. We were there during a long holiday weekend, & the public place next door was overcrowded with all kinds (People watching could be enjoyable for some.). The public parking lot was full & chaotic for the holiday weekend. People picnicing under the public pavilions, arriving at 6 a.m. to reserve & start cooking. It was nuts! People use the parking lot daily for beachgoing also. So, after the holiday, it was still busy (but not as bad as the holiday). We also saw a homeless person or two emerging from the public restroom building below us in the mornings. The police presence was amazing in Daytona Beach. They patrolled the public parking lot each night making people leave, so I imagine they are cracking down on the homeless & druggie problems. We felt safe.

  One other bothersome issue (but not a dealbreaker) was the outdoor smoking & vaping in the condo pool area & on the beach. We also smelled marijuana frequently on the beach & from our balcony - someone getting high in a condo nearby.

  Overall, we couldn't have found a better place.

  We arrived after 10 and there was a property manager guy who let us in the process was easy enough. We had a code to the box box unlocked a key key. Got us send into the room once in the room there were in her keys that allowed you into the pool in the fitness room the pool was awesome. Was 10 feet deep on one side looked like it was new within the last couple years, it had a kid section too. Big patio area with direct private access to the beach

  We could see the boardwalk from this room. You could also see the city and the ocean. It was nice to wake up and see and hear the ocean

  I did not see any bugs the shower was small, but the pressure was good and the water was hot

  The elevator worked fine.

  Tv worked fine so did stove. Big clean fridge

  The building had eight floors. This unit was on the seventh. I would come back and stay again. It was exactly what it said. It was an older building. they do a nice job with the outside and the beach access was awesome. The pool was awesome, you don’t spend much time in the room anyway There were two rooms so you can go to bed and the other person could stay awake in the patio side of the two rooms

  It is next-door to the city access and there was A lot of people watching it’s a big city so you see homeless people all over the place. Stay in Ormond Beach and maybe they won’t see on the street but they’re still.
