Lights kept flickering on and off. Tried to tighten them but burnt my fingers.
Steps up and down. Have small carpet on stairs that keep sliding forward. Making them easy to trip on. Yard was very messy. We picked up some of the trash.
Hi Annie, your review is greatly appreciated, and we're thankful for your time sharing your experience. Upon reviewing your feedback, we've connected with the homeowner, who wanted to address a few points:
- Thank you for staying at our Washington D.C. property and for taking the time to share your feedback. I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay.
- Regarding the bathroom lighting, I recently upgraded the light fixture and may have used the wrong type of bulb. I will investigate this issue immediately to ensure it does not happen again. The safety and comfort of my guests are my top priorities, and I apologize for the flickering lights and any discomfort this caused.
- I appreciate your patience with the trash situation. Due to the house's street position and frequent winds, trash can sometimes blow in from neighboring areas. I have a person who regularly picks up trash around the property, but I understand this might not always be enough. I am in ongoing discussions with the local government to improve street cleaning and trash collection in the area."
- Regarding the carpet on the stairs, I intended it to be a nice touch, but I understand your safety concerns. I will remove the carpet tiles to prevent any tripping hazards.-
- I apologize for any confusion regarding the check-in instructions. I have requested that all guests be informed to use the green door, but I will ensure that this information is clearly included in the listing to avoid future confusion.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback. As a new owner, I am committed to improving the experience for all my guests, and your comments help me do that.
