• Wonderful apartment!

  This apartment was a spacious, clean, quiet, and peaceful place to stay during my 2 day visit in DC. Never a problem to find parking spaces on the street. Many thanks!

• Stay away - Doesn't worth the money - Deceiving representation of the house

  We are well-versed and experienced in what to expect when booking a house for a short-term stay and calibrate our expectations accordingly.

  However, this property was not only a disappointing experience but is on the verge of fraud.

  1. The property is old and poorly maintained.

  2. There are serious safety concerns to address - if you have young kids with you - stay away

  3. The property is not being cleaned properly - towels, sheets, and general cleaning are disappointing.

  4. The worst of it was the lack of proper response to problems presented:

  4.1. The toilet was clogged twice, beyond what we could do to handle it ourselves. When they came the first time, they opened the clog but did not clean after them (left dirty wet towels on the floor).

  4.2 The property managers did not take our comments and requests seriously, which felt more like dismissal. The solutions offered were insulting at best.

  To remove any doubt, we have documented photos of everything mentioned above, which we shared with the property managers.

  Unfortunately, we came to the city in one of the busiest weeks of the year and couldn't find an alternative for all of us. Otherwise, we would have checked out right after the first night.

  Bottom line: stay away from this rental alternative. It is not worth the money, and will only ruin your stay in the city.

  While it is interesting to stay in a 140 year old house, this house needs a few repairs

  All in all a good location.

  Not for someone having difficulty with stairs- narrow.

Nonetheless, you let us know about the concern with the floor and took action immediately. We acted quickly and contacted our contractor so that they could address the issue. We are always happy to help to resolve any issues during your stay. The safety of our guests will always be our highest priority. The stairs are within code and have passed the inspection for safety. While we've never experienced safety issues, we're sorry if this made your stay uncomfortable in any way. We value your feedback, and we take great pride in our home and like to see our guests return in the future!

  Great location, very nice property for the most part - only issue we had was that they keep nothing in stock. No soap, no shampoo, no cooking basics, no coffee filters, etc. Bring everything with you!
