A few friends and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway. Having direct contact with the owner was super helpful and we greatly appreciated her quick replies! Check in and check our was super easy, and the location was excellent. A short walk to the base of mountain, and easy access to the town shuttles. The condo itself was super clean and had all the amenities you would want/need. It also was about 15 steps from the shared pool, which was really convenient! Overall, we had a wonderful stay in steamboat! Would definitely stay here again.

Located in a quiet area with great walking access to restaurants and the lift. No central air so main level gets warm in 80 degree heat. Pool and hot tub easily accessible.

This home is a great place to stay in Steamboat - comfortable and great for lounging around, also for walking to nearby restaurants or cycling right from the house.

Many guests have raved about this property and as a skier, I can see why skiers would find this property acceptable, but unfortunately, this property was lacking the ambience that we were expecting. I view it as simply an investment property, nothing more. Since ambience is subjective, I will stick with facts:
1) The unit was not cleaned when we arrived. We dutifully waited until after 4 pm to enter the property. I contacted the property manager at 4:20 pm, the housekeepers arrived around 5:20 and finished around 7 pm.
2) The listing specifically lists cable TV. There is no cable TV. The house directions for the TV do not make any sense given the equipment that was present in the unit. There is a Google Chromecast which never really worked. I was able to get my FireStick to work.
3) The listing lists a grill. There is no grill, only a dirty spot on the deck where a grill evidently was placed at some point. There was a propane tank in the garage.
4) The listing lists that there is a DVD player. There is an ancient DVD player in a closet.
5) The House handbook lists many restaurants which are no longer in business.
6) I found the property to be in need a refurbishment: Broken blinds with missing slats, mismatched curtains, chipped paint (large areas), leaky faucets, shower doors without bars.
On a positive note, the kitchen was well equipped and during ski season this would be a great location and perhaps the deficits could be over looked, but when one is visiting during the spring to just hang out, the deficits are more apparent. We have stayed in many vacation rentals in Colorado (and also have owned a vacation rental) and this property is average at best.
Please don't tell me I should have called the property manager. The grill and dvd player were not important to me. I mentioned the TV problem (weak or no signal) to whomever called to tell me the housekeepers were on the way. I really did not care to spend my vacation on the phone complaining.
I would have probably given this property a 3 if it had been cleaned when I arrived. Unfortunately, that created a poor beginning for our vacation.
Just returned from a week long stay during Steamboat Springalicious days. We couldn't have been more satisficed with our accommodations. The condo is within walking distance to Steamboat base camp or the free Knoll parking lot. Everything we needed was provided, including a very clean and comfortable living space, equipped kitchen, plenty of bedroom space and extra towels and linens as needed. We skied, relaxed, read books and worked on puzzles. We'd stay again.
