Beautiful views
5/5 This is a great place to get away from it all. Stunning views where the birds fly at eye level. There were plenty of amenities for cooking meals and the hosts were very helpful in finding a pet sitter for us and available when needed.

Beautiful views
5/5 A very clean, spacious well kept home. Kitchen had everything needed for cooking. Enjoyed playing pool: great selection of music/movies as well. Beautiful views from both levels of the home. Area is peaceful and quiet. Check in/out is smooth, host is very responsive.

5/5 The house has the best kitchen utensils and pots and pans set of any rental I’ve stayed at. Usually we have to buy an egg pan but these pots still had sealed surfaces as of July 2023. The grill is propane, so no messy charcoal. I couldn’t find a grill utensil set, but didn’t look everywhere and didn’t ask either—we actually had some with us. They had an emergency medical kit which is perfect for a remote location. Complimentary Keurig cups and/or drip coffee for Keurig or coffee maker. There are aluminum chairs that are perfect for moving around on the decks and visiting together. We had beautiful weather. Elevation is at 9000 feet so it’s quite cool. There are plenty of throws in the closets to stay warm. We had good cell service with AT&T there. Wi-Fi speeds were decent. The dirt road to the rental is 10 times better than the gravel roads which have a definite washboard pattern that will knock your dentures loose. Just go slow and annoy the locals that zip by! The house looks new and is very comfortable—worth loosening some teeth.

5/5 Enjoyed our long weekend stay. The cabin is very clean and exceptionally well furnished. Views are awesome. We enjoyed coffee in front of the fireplace with those views, breakfast in the kitchen, music and playing pool into the night with those same beautiful views. Local info was provided. Check in and out was seamless. Highly recommend.

Lovely home, bad road to get there
5/5 We enjoyed our stay here immensely as the home is lovely and the owner has thought of everything one might need. We appreciated the provided basics because sometimes you just need a dab of something to make a meal. The view is gorgeous and so peaceful out the back of the gentle valley. We saw rabbits and a deer one day.
The location is about 20 miles or so from Buena Vista where there are restaurants, grocery stores, shops and the rushing whitewater of the Arkansas River. We rode the train and the views at the higher elevations are stunning. It was a relaxing ride.
There are no good roads to get to this home, but our GPS took us a wrong, long, and very bad way as the road was not for regular vehicles. Advice: Only turn into the place with the big flat stone sign that says Ranch of the Rockies, I believe. Do NOT turn onto the road around the bend toward Buena Vista!!
It's quiet and dark at night at the house and the night sky is simply beautiful. Be sure to go outside at night on the deck. We also couldn't get into the house when we arrived and had no cell phone service there. We drove into Buena Vista thinking we would have phone service there but did not. A kind staff member at a restaurant tried to get us onto their service. It didn't work but they had a land line and we called about the lock. There is a lockbox and we used the key after that. Evolve needs to solve the issue of the lock to get in. We did eventually have phone service once we connected to the home's wifi.
It's cooler where this home is located as it's at a higher elevation, around 9,000 ft. There were good breezes and we mostly had windows open and it was coolish at the house and warm and sunny in Buena Vista, which is about a thousand feet less in elevation. The owners have an extensive collective of music CDs but nothing to play them on, so if you drive, you might like to bring something that plays CDs. It's a really lovely property that is well cared for. It is spacious and welcoming. Everything works. I would stay here again if the lock situation is corrected.
