  • Perfect Mountain Escape

    5/5

The cabin was perfect! We take a trip every year with the dogs somewhere and this cabin exceeded our expectations. The fenced in yard was a huge bonus as we could let the dogs out safely at night and in the mornings. The amenities in the cabin were also great. I had strong cell service and WiFi (so strong that I sometimes put my phone in airplane mode so that I could just unplug!) The cabin stayed nice and toasty between the fireplace and central heat. We found a sled under the deck which made for some hilarious moments as well. The cabin was well maintained and felt very clean and safe upon arrival. It was also very well stocked so we did not feel anything was missing. We picked a movie from the DVD collection each night and curled up by the fire. We were a little nervous to run into a moose but no sightings for us! The drive was pretty easy in our 4WD Subaru, but drivers should be aware that Fairplay is extremely windy and you should proceed with caution. Overall 10/10!

  • Perfectly Cozy

    5/5

This cabin in the mountains is supremely cozy- we didn’t want to leave! I loved the little fire place and waking up to Mountain View’s. We adjusted pretty quickly to sleeping at 11,000 too. I would love to come back!!

I needed to find a place to be by myself ... to get away from all the negative noise. This was the perfect place! Although the wireless is very good, I only used it to communicate with owner, who was very accessible. I lived a monk's life while I was there. Saw plenty of wildlife ... bald eagle, fox, several interesting birds who wanted to know what I was doing there. All and all, a delightful place if you want to get away from the "noise".

  • Perfect place for our family!

    5/5

We ended a week in Colorado at this cute little cabin on the mountain. It was exactly as described and the pictures don't do it justice-- it's so, so much more charming and beautiful. Our family of four all completely enjoyed our stay and were all sad when it was time to leave. Each room/window has a spectacular view we couldn't get enough of. There's so much to do in the cabin (games, puzzles, movies, foosball) the kids didn't want to go into town and do things... and it was nice. The last few miles of road leading to the cabin are gravel/rock, like really rough rock. This didn't bother us much, we took it slow and our Fusion handled it like a boss. You'd definitely need a 4x4 to get there if there's any type of snow or bad weather. We had a great few days in the cabin and have nothing but amazing things to say about it!
