We stayed in the property while visiting with family in Erie. I enjoyed walking to get my morning coffee. It would have been nice to have a few starter pods for the coffee maker.

Perfect distance from Boulder and Denver. We loved being able to walk to the local shops and bars in Erie. We enjoyed our short stay.

Bare bones accommodations with no amenities. Comfortable beds, lots of towels, but no cleaning supplies, or extras at all. Wet linen left in washer and bathroom in 1/2 bath has a growing sewer odor. Might be good for an overnight, but not so much for long-term. I’ve stayed in MANY renal homes and this has to be the least accommodating.
Very nice place to stay

We arrived close to 5:30pm for a 4pm check-in time on a Friday to find the unit was locked with a cleaning lady inside. She was friendly and tried to be helpful - told us to come back in about 30 min and she would be finished. We had somewhere to be by 7pm so luckily the town is walkable and we went to dinner. W left for over an hour to return to find the place was still not ready! At this point, we HAD to place our bags in the unit and leave. The check-in process was less than ideal and we were not able to get ready for our evening out at Red Rocks like we anticipated.
I will highlight a few pros and cons, making our stay just "okay."
Cons:
-Laundry was left in both the machine and dryer. I had to finish drying spare sheets left by the cleaning crew and rotate their laundry while on vacation as it completely smelled of mildew in the unit. We had two HUGE loads of bed linens and towels from the unit just laying on our floor the entire stay.
-There was NO toilet paper left for us to use aside from the 1/4 rolls loaded on the roll in each bathroom.
-Fingerprints ALL over the refrigerator and microwave so you could tell surfaces were not completely cleaned or sanitized in the kitchen.
-The dishwasher was completely full of clean dishes needing to be emptied, but a dirty dish and cookie sheet that were used had just been "placed" inside the dishwasher as if to just hide it temporarily.
-Bathroom shower was loaded with hair along the baseboards, ledge in the shower window, and in the tub.
-Bedrooms had dust and hair along the baseboards also.
-Beds are all low grade memory foam. The twins are probably fine for small kids, but even our teenage girls sank into an uncomfortable pit.
Pro's:
-Long term renter on site was super friendly and helpful, and has adorable dogs.
-Balcony in the morning to enjoy coffee and watch the hot air balloons nearby
-Location in the downtown area was excellent for grabbing coffee in the morning and a beer/cider & dinner at night.
-Everything is "newer" as this is new construction so the aesthetic in theory should be clean and modern.
No apology or communication from owner or management about the late cleaning crew and check in. For the price paid this is sub par experience and a miss for us.
Hi Jason, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously. Thank you for accepting the compensation we offered you for the inconvenience. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We take great pride in the standards of cleanliness and service that we provide for our guests. So it is very unfortunate that these out-of-the-ordinary events occurred over your visit, and we hope you understand we tried to remedy the issues as promptly as possible.
- While the check-in time for this vacation home follows the hospitality industry standard, the local property manager is always happy to accommodate an early check-in if possible. In this case, the previous guests were checking out the morning of your arrival, and the cleaning crew needed the time to prepare the home for your stay.
- While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, mattress taste is subjective, and we have never received any complaints about this in the past. We're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences.
- As is standard in the vacation rental industry, the owner provides a starter amount of toiletries and other essentials, and once that amount is out, it's typical for the guest to purchase more supplies.
- We were very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your recent stay at the property. We appreciate your feedback so we can ensure our high standards are being met and exceeded. Thank you for your review!
