The "unit" is very nice and clean, with pictures more or less accurately describing the "unit". However, we feel we were deceived in renting this "unit".
We were under the impression that we were renting an "All-encompassing family home." All of the information we could find indicated that we were renting the entire house. 3800 sq. feet, 4 beds, 3.5 baths (all true). Pictures (39 & 40) even show the "Front Exterior", as if this is part of the property, including the front door and the garage(s) and parking areas. The front door and garages are not included.
The reality is that it is a lower level walkout basement half of the house, with people and pets staying in the top half of the house above you, where they can be heard walking around and talking The facilities inside were exactly as pictured, but we were not expecting to be sharing a house.
We reviewed the site description thoroughly prior to reserving, and have reviewed again since, and find no place where any of this is indicated. It does say that the homeowner lives on site and there is another rental unit on site, but we understood this to mean separate houses on the same parcel.
Finally, the laundry room is shared with the upstairs, and the door separating the downstairs "unit" from the laundry room and upstairs is not a locking door. Bedroom doors lock, but not the "separating door", leaving us not feeling secure in our "All encompassing home".
We've rented over 20 "entire" houses; this is a first.

Owner's response: Dan, We are happy that you found the house very nice and clean. We apologize that you did not see the information in the listing about us being in the house. We did confirm with Evolve and found the listing to be correct and, include all of the following information.
- The listing also includes this verbiage; After parking in the east end of the property, enter through the backyard gate. The property is the ground floor unit of the house. We do indicate that there is parking on site, but not that it is a garage. PARKING: Driveway (4 vehicles), RV/trailer parking allowed on-site
- In the information about the property we have the following verbiage; SHARED AMENITIES: Backyard, gazebo w/ gas fire pit & cushioned seating, kids’ jungle gym & sand pit, and also FAQ: Step-free access, 3 exterior security cameras (facing out), owner lives on-site, additional rental on-site, quiet hours (10:00 PM-8:00 AM)
- We do not share the downstairs laundry facility, that is only for the guests who rent this space. We have 2 additional laundry rooms upstairs. Regarding the door, if we put a lock on it the door you would not be able to access the laundry room.
- To all our potential guests, The listing doesn’t specify where the owners or other units are located; it just says they exist. If you assumed it was a separate house, that was not our fault. We trust you in our home and you can trust that you are safe and will not be bothered unless you reach out to us.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for.
The best VRBO we have stayed at! So organized, everything we needed and more. Very welcoming, answered questions promptly with kind attitude. Perfect stay!

Property was great. Hosts were very accommodating with our schedule and had fresh homemade cookies waiting for us when we arrived. Place was clean and very spacious. Every amenity you need was there

we had 3 families go in on this home as our daughters play on the same softball team and we were in Denver for a national tourney. The home is beautiful, spacious, clean and relaxing in every way. you are 20 mins to pretty much everything you need to be at in Denver but out in the country with gorgeous views on top of the hill. The hosts are terrific and are there for whatever you need including the fresh based cookies upon arrival. For having never been in Co and taking a shot on the home instead of a hotel, this property really exceeded expectations for all involved. Including seeing fireworks from everywhere in Denver for 2 nights.
Thank you! We will be back!

We were greeted right away and given a tour of the house. Very beautiful place. There were homemade cookies provided and a gallon of milk and jug of orange juice. They also provided cereal and pancake mix and syrup. I was also wheelchair accessible for my father so that was extra convenient. Our first time using evolve and I would highly recommend it and using this place to stay, great experience.
From the owner: "Your family was so much fun, thank you for the kind review!"
