• Not the quality expected for the price, location and property

  This property is a typical short-term rental quality in a rural neighborhood. There are neighbors all around and most of the yards are full of junk. The house is OK but don't expect any quality amenities. The neighborhood around the house was a big detractor from the experience if you are expecting to do anything from the house: hike, bike, mountain walk. You really have to drive to somewhere else to do any of that.

  We reserved late, so had issues with the cleanliness and readiness of the house, but I doubt that would be an issue for a normal stay. The owner was responsive but not actually able to help. Generally, the place was dirty and we weren't able to use the living room, bedroom, or bathroom that are on the basement/garden level. There are some great hikes nearby but its about 20-30min from anything: grocery store, restaurant, hiking trails, mountain views.

• Beautiful cute cabin!

  Overall everything was great and we had a nice stay. The dining room and outdoor decks are fantastic! The reason for only 4 stars instead of 5 is because I swear I remember reading that this cabin had ac but after booking it, ac was not listed. The only reason I booked this cabin (and paid a lot more than other cabins) was because I read AC somewhere in the listing. Also, cameras were listed as pointing outward and there was one camera pointed right at the hot tub, which was a little weird/creepy. The other problem (not the owner's fault) was the Trumpy neighbors across the street playing loud country music and hooting and hollering. Despite these things, my sister-in-law really loved the cabin and said she'll be speaking to her realtor (the cabin is currently for sale) to put in an offer as she's looking to move to the mountains!

Being in the mountains nobody has AC since elevation is higher and temperatures run lower we do once in a blue moon have hotter than normal temps but not often enough."
