I booked this place for 2 night stay but only ended up staying one night. Unfortunately various things and a terrible heatwave added up to make it an uncomfortable stay which caused my group to leave after one night.

Pros: Guest contact was quick to respond to questions and was nice enough to bring us their box fan since the one in the cabin was broken.

Place was relatively clean (dust a bit of an issue with older places) and organized/staged up well

Hot tub was working and comfortable (though a little confusing to work)

Main bed was large and the only comfortable area for sleeping.

Cons: Only one ceiling fan in the entire place along with two smaller box fans is not enough to help cool the place down in the summer. Some windows were unopenable and/or missing screens. One had a torn screen so it was kept closed to avoid letting in bugs.

I asked for instructions on using the hot tub and was told to press the buttons and work it out, then a bit later I find the -torn- off paper on the floor with instructions/sign and threat of extra fees if certain buttons are pressed on the hot tub. I do not appreciate hidden surprises like that which should be listed properly on the post listing. The sign was faded as well and only listed button names, not how to use it.

Unfortunately the bunk bed and sofa bed was uncomfortable and made unbearable due to the heat even with the large living room window open.

Thermostat and door knob locks of bathroom doors appeared broken.

This was a charming little cabin but the heater was broken in the back room, there was no propane in the tank so we had to get our own but we were reimbursed, the pipes were broken in the laundry area so we couldnt use the kids room because the rug was soaked and when i reached out to the company they let someone in there while i was gone.

  • Nice but dont expect to communicate with the guest contact

    3/5

The house was very nice, and the number of beds was perfect. There was zero ability to contact the guest contact. I called multiple times leading up to my stay, left messages, tried to text. And I heard nothing back. Luckily, all my concerns were put to rest upon showing up to the rental, but to be blatantly ignored was unprofessional. There were also so many rules for cleaning up before check out but I also paid the extremely high cleaning fee, and dont understand what that fee was for if we just did everything except washed the towels and linnens. Otherwise, the location was nice, really pretty, quiet neighborhood, and the hot tub was phenomenal after skiing all day. The back room with the bunk in it had a section of floor that was soaked through during our whole stay. I mentioned it to the contact and (no surprise) never heard back but beware of wet feet walking through there.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Jaime, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
    - We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of immediate response. Unfortunately, during the period leading up to your stay, I was unexpectedly hospitalized due to illness, which rendered me unable to attend to messages promptly. My son, in an effort to assist, responded to your inquiries and informed you of the situation.
    - Regarding the cleaning fee and the checkout instructions, we understand your concern. The cleaning fee covers a comprehensive cleaning service between guests, ensuring the property is in top condition for each arrival. We appreciate your efforts in tidying up before checkout, and we'll review our communication to ensure clarity regarding the cleaning expectations.
    - We're glad to hear that overall, you enjoyed the amenities and location of the property. Your feedback about the wet floor in the back room is duly noted, and we'll address this issue promptly to ensure a more comfortable experience for future guests.
    - Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding during this unforeseen circumstance.
Thanks for letting us know about your stay!

  • Cozy Spot with perks

    5/5

The little house was clean and had every essential you would need to stay comfortable. Just like home with some additional features. The 2 arcade cabinets, and huge front yard kept the kids occupied and the hot tub was nice and relaxing for me and the Mrs. I loved the flexible check-in and quick responsiveness for any questions I had from the host. Would definitely stay again.
