San Diego near SDSU
5/5 Lovely spot near SDSU. Very quiet and easy. My husband and I really enjoyed the proximity to our son in school and to downtown. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Missed the mark for us, but has potential
4/5 We had housekeeping issues (bedding not properly cleaned, and a few other items). The most frustrating part was the poor communication with the property manager (no response for 5.5hrs), so then I had to involve Evolve, and then the owner didn't get involved until over 24hrs later to finally bring over clean bedding. My frustration with the time wasted in trying to communicate with both the property manager and Evolve while we were supposed to be on vacation was unnecessary.
The owner did try to rectify things and we appreciated that. But there needs to be better attention to detail on housekeeping. Our young kids slept in the pull-out queen sofa bed, which was fine for them, but anyone over age 6 would be quite uncomfortable on that thin sofa bed mattress. The room is big, and could certainly accommodate a bed if the owners end up making that switch.
On the positive side:
The kitchen was well-stocked with every gadget/pan/tupperware/ziplocks that one could need. I really enjoyed the double shower heads in the master. My kids were ecstatic to see so many books and toys to play with. It was nice to have a garage to park in, and the owner allowed us to drop our bags off two hours before check in, which we appreciated.
Note: there was no coffee or cooking spray/oil in the home, so bring those items unless they start stocking. I did ask the property manager in advance, and she told me there should be coffee, which prompted a late night run to get some vs enjoy our family time together on day 1 of vacation.
This could be a great rental moving forward with better property management communication/expectations, attention to detail on the housekeeping, and a proper bed/mattress to accommodate teens or adults in the guest room -- that's my suggestion as a STR owner myself. The issues we experienced could certainly be improved for future guests, and this could easily be a 5-star property.
