  Horrible. It was filthy and there was trash and dirty linens on the floor. The mattress’s looked like a crime seen. Manager never got back to me. The backyard was unsafe and full of junk.

• Good price for lots of space

  We enjoyed our stay, but there were some issues related to cleanliness of the property. It looked like they weren't quite ready for us. There were dirty dishes in the oven and laundry items on the table, for example.

  The description was not accurate - there was access to the other part of the house and we walked in on them by mistake. There was old food on the countertop and spiders and spider webs and swarming ants in the house and trash in the yard. The bathtub wouldn't drain. The entire toilet drained (clean water, from the bottom) onto the bathroom floor. TONS of spider webs behind the toilet.

  Hi Tammy, we want to make vacation rental easy for everyone, and we're sorry if you felt caught off guard. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - There is a separate entrance for the other tenant that lives on-site, and the door that connects the two units is locked at all times. We'll also add a note by this door to assure future travelers.
  - The kitchen countertops are thoroughly cleaned before each guest's arrival.
  - There's no trash in the backyard, but you may have seen some bags of leaves in the side yard.
  - When you reached out about the plumbing issue, we had a technician over to repair the leak the next morning.

  The house was dirty - There were crumbs and dried food all around the toaster, for example. Cobwebs and spiders and ants and also trash in the yard. Then at 9 p.m. the bathtub wouldn't drain. Then the toilet completely emptied into the bathroom floor! It drained out the bottom, not overflowing or stopped up. Next......ants started swarming out of the wall near the shower and also from the bathroom door facing. We have pictures of all of that. We contacted the owner but who would want to sleep there another night? PLUS.....there was a "long-term tenant on-site (completely separate entrance / no shared access)." At least that's what the VRBO website said. That's not true. There was shared access. There was simply a door at the end of hall leading to his space. We feel we should receive a full refund but the owner disagreed. Plus, the amount they did refund is not what they said they would do.

  -The home was thoroughly cleaned before your stay. All countertops had been whipped down, floors mopped, windows washed, the furniture was dusted, and all trash was removed
  -We're very sorry for the maintenance issues you encountered and credited you for the inconvenience. After you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay, a plumber came and fixed the drain right away
  -There is no shared access to the guest house. The tenant on-site has a private entrance to their unit. At the end of the hallway, there is a locked door that no one can enter from the other side to ensure guest privacy
