  • We would stay here again

    Great location in the foothills. Good beds, kitchen, plenty of space. We'd stay here again as an affordable base camp for skiing Kirkwood.

    If there's snow on the ground your bay-area sedan probably won't make it up the driveway.

    The thermostat was off. It's terrible to arrive at 9pm in January to a 43 degree house and have the NEST thermostat tell you it will take 2+ hrs to get to 70. Yes, a NEST that can be controlled remotely to warm up the house prior to guest arrival. This happened to us at a property in Mammoth last winter. I just don't get risking frozen pipes to safe a few bucks on your heating bill.

    By all appearances and expectations this should have been an absolute 5⭐️ review. Unfortunately there was a massive disappointing stain in the carpet leading into the kitchen (disgusting & disturbing). In addition, the host did not inform guests that they were responsible to remove all garbage from the premises until after the cancellation date had expired and even threatened a fine if not removed. No wonder there have been no reviews posted on this site and don’t expect this one to be posted either.

    - There's a small spot on the carpet that was unfortunately left behind by a previous guest. Despite our efforts to have it professionally cleaned, the stain persists and cannot be entirely removed
    - Please note that we don't provide garbage collection services, as we mentioned in the pre-stay email. To ensure transparency and avoid any surprises for our upcoming guests, we are actively working on adding this information to the listing
