The house had cobweb's on light fixtures, vents were dirty, dead bugs in windowsills, air conditioning systems didn’t work well, some rooms were good while others had none, on the last night air conditioning had system error ( which I reported right away as for all issues and took pictures) foosball table was broken, table tennis paddle was broken, projector didn’t work, pool traps were dirty (we had to clean them out) we couldn’t really enjoy the pool because of the infestation of wasps. Shower heads in master bathroom spayed everywhere, towels racks broken, glass door locks were broken, no curtains in the bedrooms, TV was facing the floor( no tools to adjust ) fridge stopped working so we lost food, we choose this property because of the amenities and they were unusable. I communicated with property contact but she was working and not available most of the time. I was reporting all issues but never got a solution. Just I will contact the owners and thanks for letting us know via email. We still did our part by treating the property with respect washed and folded all towels, cleaned kitchen, emptied all trash, brought fedex delivery to the house and placed in garage as requested. If they had someone who was able to address and resolve these issues my review would have been very different. She was aware of some of the issues but didn’t address them, our reservation was confirmed in March ( plenty of time to replace broken items)

-We ensure that the property is professionally cleaned after each checkout, including routine pool maintenance and pest control.
-The A/C and refrigerator have been inspected and are currently in good condition. We are sorry you encountered issues with them.
-We've installed blinds in all of the bedrooms for additional privacy and comfort for our guests

I brought 8 ladies here and was very impressed by the house, furnishings, pool and VIEW!
The issues are with the Evolve property management & maintenance. I emailed Evolve before arrival asking questions & clarification. No response. I sent a text to rep Sheltra, no response. When I called Sheltra about bugs, crickets, and dead flies on all the windowsills and kitchen floor, she told me that I can either check out, or drive 40 minutes to get cleaning supplies myself. Then she turned off her phone. I got help from Carissa. Owner responded right away to remedy the situation and sent out supplies.
HOUSE PROS:
The owner Fei, addressed issues with lack of cleaning supplies, oven issue & non-working lights.
Views are spectacular: we watched the full moonrise over Lassen, & woke up to the sunrise over Bally & the Trinity Alps. You can see Shasta from the 20 foot windows in the living room.
The carpet is brand new!
The furnishings & beds are brand new & very comfortable.
The pool was clean & warm, and there is outdoor seating, which was great for our group.
Brand new AC kept us cool and comfortable
CONS:
Since this is a new vacation rental, it really doesn’t have a lot of supplies: there aren’t enough plates, cups, serving dishes to accommodate more than 8 people. The kitchen cupboards are very bare, so bring your own foil, plastic bags, salt and pepper, and spices, Pyrex.
The owner was very communicative and kind! Carissa was helpful. I would rent again, fully prepared.

- We apologize for the lack of communication prior to and during your stay. The local contact was traveling with limited cell phone signal, which caused the delay in responses. We are reviewing our communication processes to prevent this in the future.
- We regret the inconvenience caused by the bugs and cleanliness issues. The property is professionally cleaned after each checkout and pest control is routinely performed. However, being in a natural mountain setting, occasional field insects may be present. We have also stocked additional cleaning supplies and essentials to ensure future guests have everything they need.
- The kitchen supplies have been noted, and we will be adding more plates, cups, serving dishes, and other essentials to better accommodate larger groups.
