It was awful!
Pulling up it looked abandoned. It was dirty and tired. Plants were dead, Nothing about it was welcoming.
Walking in it smelled old and musty. The appliances were old. Only 1 of the 4 burners on the stove worked, the microwave turntable was broken. There was wrappers and trash on the shelves and counters. An old non stick skillet was out on the stove top that looked like it was about 20 year old all scratched up and burnt. Electrical outlet over stove looked questionable, conduit blackened (fire ?) ceiling fixture had no fixture just a light bulb screwed into it.
The sliding glass door to the back deck was broken, so you had to go through the bedroom to get outside.
The living room was tires as well, old furniture. trying to get the windows open was interesting. Old single pane windows with old thumb screw locks. who ever locked up previously really cranked them down.
The bathroom was disgusting. There was toothpaste spit on the mirror. In the medicine cabinet there was a tube of Preparation H, a used toothbrush and 1/2 bottle of cough syrup. There was no counter top, you had to use the top of the washer and dryer for your things. The pocket door did not work so there was no privacy.
The bedroom was dark and had very squeaky floors (the whole house did for that matter) The night stands were tiny and shaky, felt like they would fall over at any time. There was no dresser so you just had to pile your things on the chase.
Going out to the deck was interesting. Very old and shaky. The railing wobbled when touched. We had to clean the Table and chairs before we could use them. Everything has spider webs and dust all over it. It didn't look like anyone had been out there in months. I was afraid to set a drink on the table for how wobbly it was. With the table being so unstable I was afraid to use the table top fire pit (about the size of a dinner plate).
I wish I could post pictures to show how bad it was.
We would have never stayed one night here but everything was booked in in town due to the back to back concerts.
