  • We’re a swim family…

    5/5

We’re a swim family, so of course we use our vacations to go to swim meets.

We went to USMS Summer Nationals at the Marguerite Aquatic Center in Mission Viejo. This location was clean, close, and convenient to the venue. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to make dinners there with the ingredients that we picked up at the nearby grocery store. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean.

    Thanks for hosting us!!

  • Disappointing..

    3/5

Our family booked 4 nights at this home, and we have mixed feelings about our experience. On the positive side, we loved the house itself: it was very clean, spacious, peaceful and tastefully decorated. However… we slept poorly because thé mattresses were very uncomfortable. In addition the master bedroom had drapes that allowed light in , so it was bright early morning and we could not sleep in.. Also there were no TVs in any of the bedrooms, which we missed. We had to watch it in the living room.. On the second day, we found ourselves locked out of the house! The entry code no longer worked! We called customer service and they told us to wait because they couldn’t reach the owner.. we ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes in the sun with groceries in hand and melting ice cream. Eventually the owner called us and helped us. Unbelievably, the same night, the power went out ( as we were watching Tv).We found ourselves in complete darkness, with Ice cream melting in the freezer and not able to cook. The power outage lasted for about 2 hours. We called the owner again for help , but understandably he couldn’t do anything for us, as this was a planned power outage due to reducing the risk of fires in the area. Neighbors later confirmed that power outages happen REGULARLY in the summer. No one warned us about that.. unbelievably About 2 hours after the power was restored, it went out again!!! And this time it lasted for the rest of the night! So, to resume: we loved the look of the house, minus the uncomfortable beds, no TVs in the bedrooms and rolling power outages. Sadly our experience was mostly disappointing.. we gave our experience 3 stars because the power outages couldn’t be helped. However it would have been nice. If we had that information ahead of time…

    Manager's Response:

Hi Valerie, thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re sorry that other aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your review, and they wanted to share the following:

-While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, mattress taste is subjective, and we have never received any complaints about this in the past. We're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences.
-The master bedroom currently has thick drapes, however we'll consider darker shades to better block out the morning light.
-The decision not to include TVs in the bedrooms was intentional, as the homeowner wanted to create a restful environment. We understand that this may not align with all guests’ preferences, but this is reflected in the listing information.
-We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the entry code. The lock may have malfunctioned due to multiple incorrect entries, but we did assist with entry by resetting the code.
-As for the power outages, we completely understand your frustration. Unfortunately, this was beyond our control, and we weren't notified in advance either.

We appreciate your honest feedback, as it helps us improve. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future so we can provide a more seamless experience.

  • Great house in a safe quiet community

    5/5

My family stayed here for my granddaughter’s soccer tournament. There was so much to see & do in Southern California. The house was immaculate & inviting. The back patio was amazing. We ate breakfast there every morning in the beautiful weather. It was our favorite thing about the house . We had a small issue with a return communication with the owner. The front door lock is electronic & it was flashing low battery when we came home one night & was glitchy to open. We text the owner as requested in the Welcome book. We had no return communication but the issue seemed to be resolved. I was worried whole next day that we would not be able to get in and would have appreciated a response to alleviate our fears. Otherwise it was an amazing stay. Thanks!
