Excellent location, simple, solid accommodation at a fair price
4/5 I was visiting the area for work and this listing was well located with a good price. The location is a quiet neighborhood that is easily walkable to Berkeley Bowl West for groceries and restaurants on San Pablo Ave. Downtown Berkeley is more of a haul, but your watch/fitness tracker will be really impressed.
The unit itself, as listed in the ad, is on the second floor above a garage. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, the linens and towels are all clean, the bathroom fixtures all look to be new. I really appreciated the French Press and kettle for coffee making.
Could it be better? WiFi/high speed internet and cable TV would be great and the water heater could be set a bit higher for chilly Berkeley spring mornings. But, if you're looking for relatively inexpensive and quiet place to crash around working and being out, this is hard to beat. I'd say really good for one or two people without kids who are more into the location and access to everything in the area than how posh their temporary home is.
