This property is very dark with poor lighting, we used headlights to read a book.Talked to the owner (nice guy!), he said the place belonged to an old man until a year ago. Still very much the same I think. The building is on a busy street so lots of traffic noise, but on the other hand the back yard is spacious with no close neighbors. The area around the house needs a good clean-up, and the inside is generally odd. For eg, the toilet is not mounted solidly on the floor and bangs every time you stand up, some lightbulbs are burned out, and the fixtures could use a good dusting. The windows are either small and at the top of 15 foot walls, or they are placed so they don't let in much light. There is no central heat, but there are two wall units and a couple of portable radiators. They were fine once the place warmed up, but it took two days. Plus the portable heaters tripped the circuit breakers a bunch (electrical panel is outside).
The kitchen was small but good all around and the beds are comfortable.
Little updates would be nice, such as glass drinkware and cotton sheets. Also the outdoor firepit could be much more appealing with a little effort. We think that the property should list for less money, in which case we probably wouldn't have rented it, if that makes sense.

The desert morning air is delightful at this unique hide-away. The pig decor is cute, and the artist flair of the designer is commendable.
The property was very well maintained! The landscaping was very fitting for the location and helped create a wonderful stay. Everything inside was very up to date and clean. The gas firepit was great. I would highly recommend this location.

As advertised. A quaint home in the desert and definitely off the beaten path. It was clean and well cared for, other than the baking sheet didn’t fit the small oven and my first attempt at using a bidet failed miserably, it was a quaint and relaxing space.

I can't say enough about this place! Jeff and Alison are fantastic hosts. They were available whenever I had questions or concerns. The home itself is a super cool fortress on a beautiful property. It's close to the road, but that did not take away from the peace and ambiance one bit. The high ceilings, giant wooden doors, and unique stone floors all made for a fun, cool, cozy stay. The kitchen is compact, but well outfitted for making meals at home. The multiple a/c units ensure that you stay cool on those hot desert days. The shower was hot and had great pressure. The outdoor area is the real gem! There is a short walking path on the property I would walk in the morning as the sun was coming up. The sunrise over the mountains was stunning! There is also a great outdoor seating area with an electric fireplace. What a great way to wind down at the end of the days spent exploring Tucson. The location is also pretty perfect. It's far enough from the city that you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but really you're only a 10-15 minute drive from all the city action! Stop searching, you found the winner. Book it already!
