  The house was older but well maintained, it has a great upstairs for kids to have their own space. The fenced in yard was great for my dog, he got to scamper and chase squirrels. The area is not far from Flagstaff so easy to get into town from the house.

• Peaceful, quiet getaway

  We found the cabin to be very well equipped with plenty of towels and all of the kitchen necessities. The fenced in back yard was fabulous! The absolute best we have ever had for our little dog to run around safely.

  The bathrooms were also very well stocked with soap and shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer and plenty of towels. The whole cabin was very clean. It's obvious that lots of things have been renovated, the flooring is very nice, the windows are top-notch, the ceiling fans are great! The appliances and everything we needed worked very well. There are only two things that we would have liked: 1. Some sort of covered porch area so we could sit outside under cover.

  2. The King size bed had a weird noise every time you move, it would creak and squeak. That got to be very annoying. The Queen size bed was really lumpy. That couple ended up taking the two twin beds to sleep in. The twin beds were comfortable. We highly recommend replacing both the King and Queen size beds. Aside from that, our stay was perfect!

• Terrific location for hiking & pet friendly

  We arrived late June and stayed for a full week with our two Irish Terriers. The location was ideal for us because we wanted to be out of Flagstaff proper and near hiking which this property nailed 100%. Also, it was perfect for our dogs because the yard was large and fully fenced.

  The temps were warm and humid during the day with thunderstorms rolling through daily but the mini-split air conditioning kept the living space comfortable. It was a safe neighborhood and at night we just opened the bedroom window to get things cool. We even had a deer munching outside the window one night at 1 am.

  The kitchen was clean, well stocked and all appliances worked well. The washer & dryer were huge and worked great too. The bathrooms were clean, well stocked and there was plenty of hot water.

  The TV & WiFi worked perfectly. Our Verizon cellular was xlnt.

  Though we had our own supplies, the homeowner supplied ample dog necessities including towels, bowls and even poop bags. It was a nice touch for the pet owner who may forget things. A nice shoe/coat rack at the front door was helpful.

  The back yard was spacious and had a nice large picnic table with an umbrella and plenty of extra seating as well. There are some ants in the yard, normal for the area, so if you are ant sensitive be aware of the speedy devils. We had no problem with gnats or mosquitos whatsoever.

  And wow, forest access to hiking is right out the door!

• Amazing Home in Mountainaire

  This was a beautiful and spacious home in Mountainaire. We had a great time. The house is stocked well. Everything was clean and easy to use.
