  The stay was comfortable and the lake was nice. The dock was nice for fishing. We had friends that were able to pull their boat up to pick us up. The deck was nice and was partially shaded.

  Masterbed could use a matress topper for comfort and new pillows.

  Wifi was great. There were plenty of nice restaurants.

  Overall we enjoyed our trip.

  I was a little worried just hoping that the property wasn’t old. My family and I was pleasantly surprised everything was clean and updated I would certainly stay at this location again.

• cute house, but disappointing

  I recently stayed at the Ivy Cove house. The house itself is very cute, but the outside area was disappointing. The deck was not useable, very dirty and hade weeds growing all over it, the grill was nasty and there was a tree limb down in the yard at the deck.

  - They do their best to keep the outdoor area clean, but there was a storm in the area that affected the deck and yard.
  - The grill will be replaced. The owner would've been happy to clean or replace it during your stay but didn't hear from you.

  The property was great as far as location. The property has been well maintained. Very quaint and cozy feeling. Only issue is that we were black attire for work and someone had stayed with an animal in the house and we all had white hair on our clothing. Otherwise a great property for family fun and fishing.

• Nice Older Lake Hamilton House

  The initial impression of this place could be improved. There were several things that just need a little TLC. Someone with a paint brush and some white paint could make a huge difference in the entryway appearance. Having grown up on Lake Hamilton I understand how hard it is to keep leaves and fallen limbs raked, but that really needs to be done, too.

  The driveway is a little tricky, especially if you have a big vehicle, but that is not unusual at all in that neighborhood. Also, we never did figure out how to get the TV to show local channels. Some instructions for that would be nice. We weren't there to watch TV anyway, so it's no big deal.

  All that being said, it is really a nice place to stay. It is quiet and relaxing and everything you need is there. The inside was clean and comfortable. And the location makes it easy to get to Central Avenue, Oaklawn. and all the restaurants and attractions there.
