This rental home felt like a cozy get-away and a upscale hunting cabin and a tree house all rolled into one. If you want to connect with nature but still have air conditioning, this is your place. The property is surrounded by woods, the floors and ceilings are made of wood. If it's not wood, it's stone. The cabin overlooks a body of water that is so peaceful and calm you'll feel like you're in a zen garden. We took the canoes out several times and my kids loved that the most. The only challenge with this property is the steep driveway. Four-wheel drive would have been useful but not a deal breaker. We had some unforseen problems after a storm. The owner was quick to fix everything. We did not miss a beat. If your dream is to stay in a secluded cabin surrounded by woods on a lake, this is your place.

Several moms got together to enjoy motherhood and the Mother's day weekend on the lake. The place was absolutely beautiful and we had a blast. Definitely recommend this to everyone that I know. We used the canoes to go out on the lake and it was beautiful. It was nice to have that ability. It was a little cold too get in the water and the rain had stirred up the water before we got there but it still was a breathtaking view every morning. To hear the birds and not have any City noises was very relaxing. Hoping to go back with my family again soon.

We were looking for a peaceful cabin for a little weekend away before baby #2 is born and this was perfect! The screened in porch was lovely as was the balcony & dock access. Many reviews mentioned the need for four-wheel drive - there is a sign at the top of the hill to the lower cabin (this one) that says 4-wheel drive is a must beyond that point and towing at your own expense. We took the risk and made it out ok, and the listing mentioned 4-wheel drive being encouraged. That’s the only note! The owner was super responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely visit again!
Even though the drive from the property entrance gate to the cabin was a bit scary (narrow road and steep hills) it was worth the drive. Once you get to the cabin you forget everything else, we loved the house, beautiful views and very cozy. It is the perfect place to just get there and never leave, make sure to bring everything you need so you don't have to go to the store or find places to eat. We will definetely come back during better weather so we can enjoy the outdoors a bit more. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is a MUST, not recommended, you HAVE to have one if you want to park by the cabin entrance, otherwise you will leave your vehicle and walk down and back up the steep hill. This should be stated on this site as a MUST. Besides that, it is a beautiful property, beautiful views and peaceful.
