  The house was as described. Lots of room for our family. Great location and we loved having access to a pool and hot tub. Floors needed sweeping and mopped when we arrived but every else was clean. Air conditioning worked good.

• great house for larger groups

  I was worried other reviews mentioned no AC but this had fully functioning AC. Great parking for boats. two fridges for all the food. Everything was clean. you had access to the ideal beach amenities but we didn’t use them. LOTS of towels. I had to call in to get checkin info so that was super inconvenient, and i didn’t get a response from the property manager, but it wasn’t a huge issue.

• Roomy and comfortable

  We enjoyed our 3 night stay and appreciated having tow gathering spaces (main level and downstairs). Pool table and ping pong table were fun. The kitchen was well stocked for a large group including big pots and pans.

• Great from the outside

  Yes, this house looks very cool from the outside, and the pictures do show a lot of great things. The house definitely is unique. A few things that weren't as expected: Air Conditioning is virtually non-existent, there seemed to be no central air flow at all. A/C is provided by a couple of little portable units with dryer hoses running out the windows, surrounded by cardboard. I believe only one of the bedrooms had the unit. We were there in July and it was unbearable. Sleeping in an 80+ degree bedroom is hard to do. Without any air movement, I would imagine that winter stays could get pretty chilly. Cleanliness was not as expected, many things just had that "sticky" feel to them, other items were just poorly maintained, and little details (like cereal in the couch cushions and a pretty nasty high chair) show that the cleaning crew isn't the most thorough. The garbage cans were full, and left in the garage so the scent was wonderful. The location is great, overlooking a golf course, but don't sit on the deck unless you'd like the unfinished wood to fill you with splinters. Nature was definitely close, a rotting deer carcass on the side of the house made us feel like we were away from the city hustle. We were provided with a name, email and phone of the local contact. When I reached out to them for help, I was told "I don't know why they gave you my number", so you may want to clarify that there is local support if necessary. There is no cable or satellite TV, so unless you have streaming accounts that can be used, bring some books or something. The kitchen is actually quite small, two people can work in there, but no more without tripping all over each other. I'm not sure how you're supposed to fill the two dining tables shown in the pics with one to two people doing all the cooking. There is no pantry, and no cleaning supplies, so come prepared to store all of your food on the counter or in the fridge. The beds were comfortable, and the towels were nice. The kids liked the play room downstairs with billiards and ping pong. Parking is ample, but the garages are stuffed pretty full and don't have garage door openers. Bottom line is for the nightly rate we paid, I expected more. I don't think I would flat out tell someone to not stay here, but I know that I will be researching other options next summer.

  -As stated in our listing, the property does not have central air and instead has two window units and a box fan in each room. We have decided to install central air this Fall, and will doubly ensure future guests are aware of the window unit situation until then.
  
  -We will have a discussion with the cleaning crew regarding their thoroughness and making sure no garbage is left in the garage. You are the first to comment on the cleanliness of the property; however, this does not excuse the lapse, and we will ensure the cleanliness of our property for future guests.
  
  -We will look into any splinter hazards and request that future guests wear shoes on the deck until the situation is resolved.
  
  -Unfortunately, the deer remains you noticed were not on our property but a neighboring lot. We informed our neighbors, and they removed the remains. Situations like this do happen on occasion due to our location; while their occurrence may be out of our control, we will redouble our efforts to ensure the area surrounding the home is as clear as possible for future guests.
  
  -We will follow up to ensure our guest contact has the correct phone number listed.
  
  -If you do stay with us in the future, please utilize the upper cabinets for food; cleaning products are under the sink, as well as in the cleaning closet in the kitchen hallway. There is also a 2nd refrigerator in the garage that you may use for additional food storage.

• Perfect for family

  Layout of the house is perfect - close to everything- had everything we needed - washer/ Dryer - beach stuff - kitchen is well equipped- the only thing I would flag is this house only has air conditioning in one bedroom and one in the living space - it does however get cooler in the evenings. Overall we would definitely stay here again.
