    My family and I had a wonderful time in Sky valley. The location was beautiful. The home was cozy and warm. It was even decorated for the holidays! A great place to get away from it all and spend some quality family time.

  • Wonderful NE Georgia retreat

    Stayed just a couple days after Christmas, but wish we stayed longer. House arrangement was perfect for our family of 5, but easily could accommodate 2 separate families. Very comfortable, well laid out and included pretty much everything you might need (even had full-size body wash and shampoo in each shower). Community is very nice and great location. Only about 20 minutes to Highlands, NC or Clayton, GA, with tons of things to do - hiking, sightseeing, shopping, dining, etc. Would love to stay here again!

  • Beautiful Mountain stay

    Very nice house just as described. Close enough to grocery stores and antique shopping. Dryer downstairs would never heat up to dry clothes. Used the one upstairs. Plenty of room. Driveway was very steep. Low car had scraped coming in but made it up. The girls enjoyed playing pool for hours. Would recommend for big family

  • New owners - new problems - won’t stay here again

    Awful. We were told 3 days before our arrival that the new owners cancelled the satellite TV, and we would need to have our own streaming services. 2 days before arrival, we were told there was no WiFi, but it would be fixed while we were there. We negotiated a $300 credit (we asked for $500). We arrived on Sunday - WiFi was supposed to be fixed on Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon we contacted Mark (property manager) to see what was going on, and were told the internet tech didn’t show up, but he would keep us updated. We didn’t hear from Mark again for the rest of our stay.

    I challenge anyone to host their family for a week over Thanksgiving with no TV, no WiFi, and no cell service (unless you have Verizon). No football. No Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. No holiday movies. No Thanksgiving Day texts/calls to family and friends. Can’t check work emails. My daughter got a security alert at her home, but didn’t find out about it until the next day when we went into town. So disruptive.

    After our stay I reached out to Mark and requested an additional $500 for the inconvenience. 3 days later, I followed up, and was told the owner would add $50 to our $300 credit. Clearly the new owners don’t care about our experience - they just want our money - and we didn’t get what we paid for.

    While this didn’t ruin our family visit, it did add unnecessary stress and frustration to what should have been a relaxing vacation. We will not rent this house again.

    PS - we are still waiting for our credit.

    In regards to the house:

    The fireplaces are electric.

    The downstairs bedrooms have no windows.

    The upstairs bedrooms have no views.

    There needs to be bigger rocks on the garbage cans - (while we were there, something got into the garbage.)
