• Stunned by Rude Host, and Lack of Privacy

  Overall, a really bad experience! Family get together (4nites) w my husband 4 adult kids, and 2 grandkids. We are a respectful, responsible group Cons: 1)Curt was a very rude host. Told my daughter-in-law if he knew there were kids he wouldn’t have rented to us. Greeted me w cracking open door saying”Who are you?” When obviously I was the guest checking in. Minutes later bursts thru a door unannounced that connects the host and guest quarters (wo even knocking). Got very angry about where I parked on the street ( legal) and that I didn’t read the letter he only sent that am. When my son said he could say it in a nicer way, he came unglued and overreacted saying something about “ You can just all leave now then….” We were all totally stunned that he was treating us the guests so horribly with no provocation . What a welcome! 😩 We only stayed bc we wouldn’t have anywhere else to go at last minute. BTW I’m a Host myself for over 10 years in a CO ski resort so I know how this should work. I would never treat Guests this way & told him so. After 20 minutes, he calmed down & tried to make nice but the damage was already done and it made us all feel not welcome and very uncomfortable.

  2)Not very Private. I was concerned about the owners being onsite, but went ahead bc we couldn’t find another alternative. The 2 places are connected w a common door the owners can open from their side but guests cannot open or even lock. You can’t lock the front door or side door either ??? Curt informed us he has a business/private practice on the other side of us where clients come & go. So you have the Owner on one side, & the Owner’s Business on the other. (Not disclosed in rental description). 3) Moldy and real dirty Patio Furniture. 4) Just a few towels per bathroom and just couple beach towels. Not enough supplied but washed every nite. Only gave us a handful trash bags, and then messaged us “ Let me know if u need more” How about just leaving them for us to begin with. This is not where a host should skimp on supplies!

  Pros: 1) The place is high-end; very nice, clean & looks like the pictures. Modern kitchen and bathrooms. Great shower! Nice neighborhood too. 2) We really enjoyed the pool and spent a lot time using it since it was super hot! However, it is located behind both residences so not totally private. I liked the pool a lot ….it had shade & sunny areas plus great temp and think might be salt water.

• Perfect girls weekend away

  The house is immaculate and is so well decorated and stocked! The beds were all very comfortable and everyone was happy. The pool and spa were heated and great to hang by. Additionally, the neighborhood is super cute and walkable and we all felt very safe. The owners of property were gracious and really provided us with privacy (rental is connected to their main house). Would definitely book again!

  Perfect location, easy commute to downtown, beautiful home, well-stocked with everything you could need. The hosts were gracious and very helpful in providing tips about the area. The home is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We only wish the weather had been better to make use of the pool.

  Overall the place was a very nice place to stay. Clean and updated. Spa was not working when we arrived but was repaired the next day.

  Host was responsive to questions or needs.
