4/5 The house is nice. Hard to find with gps and instructions. The lighting in the house is not great. Seems dark everywhere. The worst thing was the mouse in the kitchen dining area. We had to keep all food in our plastic bins and clean up mouse feces every morning and disinfect the kitchen counters etc. yuck!!

A perfect house for a family reunion!
5/5 My husband and I, our three grown sons and their wives, plus our eight grandchildren, all recently returned from a stay in The Cardinal's nest. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. There was plenty of room for family members to spread out and enjoy each other, or enjoy time alone. The owners have put a great deal of thought in including everything a family needs for a stay in the Buena Vista/Salida area. The fact that it had two refrigerators (one in the garage) made shopping for 16 so much easier. The Keurig coffeemaker was a plus, and it was well used during our stay! The working grill made cooking dinner so much easier, and although we didn't use it, there was a large crockpot.The management company was responsive to our needs. When the grill ran out of propane, he responded almost immediately to let us know what to do.The home is beautiful and very comfortable. The view is outstanding! Can't recommend enough.

Nathrop House
5/5 By and large, the house was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the setting, the deck and plenty of space for our 4 household gathering.
There were numerous maintenance issues that should be addressed which kept us from taking full advantage of the house. Several window screens were torn or loose, one window was difficult to open, a kitchen cupboard door fell off, things of that nature.

5/5 We loved this house. I had plenty of room for a family of 11. the house was very clean and had everything we needed. We will stay here again when we come back.
