  • Magical!

The photo's do not do not do this property justice. It's so beautiful ane peaceful both inside and outside. The water was on the lower side and very serene. The property is clean and tidy! Easy to locate. I can't thank Jack, property host, enough for his accommodation of a very last minute request and mess up on my end. Will definatly be back. (This was a 2 night stay with my sister.)

  • Incredible experience in the waterfall cabin!

    5/5

We had a fantastic time in this cozy mountain cabin, enjoying our morning coffee, meals and reading on the well-appointed, private deck overlooking the rushing waterfall. The sound of the water alone was worth the trip! Jack was a perfect host, recommending other waterfalls to explore (Crabtree Falls, Roaring Fork Falls and Toms Creek Falls were beautiful) as well as shops and galleries in the area that sell local artisans' stunning pottery and blown glass. Jack also recommended that we explore Little Switzerland, which has a fantastic cafe (yummy smoked trout and desserts), gift shops, a wonderful bookstore and a gorgeous chalet that he also rents out. Nearby Burnsville has a cute town and a great brewery with an outdoor space and performances by local musicians. This cabin is perfect for a mountain get away. We will definitely be back!

  • Love This Waterfall Cabin

    5/5

We had a wonderful time at the Waterfall Cabin! It was perfect for the two of us, hadeverything we needed, clean and comfortable, in a great location. We stayed 7 days and really enjoyed having our coffee & breakfasts and happy hour & dinners on the covered porch every day. Loved the view and the sounds of Upper Browns Creek flowing below; and the treasure of art and artifacts in the cabin. We hiked Celo Knob, Linville Falls, Green Knob Fire Tower, Mt Mitchell/Balsam Nature Trail where we picnicked and Green Mountain. We stopped at Linville Winery for a half a case, Burnsville Farmers Market, Cast Iron Kitchen and Garden Deli where we had delicious lunches, Something Special Gifts, Toe River Crafts, Ooak, Pursonally Yours, and had drinks and dinner with old friends who have relocated to the area. Also, make sure you check out Earth to Sky Park Observatory for a great night. The owners, Jim and Jack, met us coming in and were both attentive and a wealth of area information. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Nothing but a 5*WOW

    5/5

Exotic rustic! I've never experienced such a delighting blend of sensory sights, sounds and authentic aesthetics. I felt like I had entered into a unique and wonderful waterfall world, a place a child might fantasize about when completely comfortable and well rested. We were definitely comfortable! And I actually feel more rested than I have in a long time thanks to all the beautifully choreographed aspects of Ama Falls.

Honestly, I experienced a humble honor while there, as though special privilege was granted me. These guys don’t miss a beat with the variety of artifacts carefully positioned throughout the property to share with those of us who visit. I was immersed into a museum quality private collection of never before seen pieces. Truly astounding, as is the waterfall right off and below the side deck, but that goes without saying. Then there’s the hike, easy to find, moderate to do, absolutely worth it. Jack’s directions lead one left out the drive, left up the gravel road, past only a few quiet forest homes, staying left to where the more narrowed path of the gravel road becomes an uncorrupted trail into the Pisgah National Forest all the way to the top of 6500' Mt. Celo. OMG. Serenity and peace captivate and transform whatever weary from the world might still be vying for attention. It all gets let go. I’m tempted to call my stay a spiritual rejuvenation. Ok, I said it. It truly was. I had wanted to visit Ama Falls for ages and glad 2 nights were available for our visit while daughter from Colorado was visiting her Mom&Dad in Asheville for the upcoming July Fourth holiday. Many thanks to Hubby Allen for sponsoring our Mother/Daughter getaway, and the owners of fabulous Ama Falls Cabin together with Mother Nature for providing the WOW. I am so glad I paid no attention to a recent guest's review - a totally unnecessary rambling bout of whining that was completely contrary to reality.

    Namaste! Cheers!
