WY vacation

My family really enjoyed staying here in this apartment. The views were beautiful, and the location was great. We were close enough to Snake River for floating, and Jackson Hole for dinner and shopping. The home is extremely clean, and filled with so many small details to make you feel at home. Everything looked so new and fresh! We'd love to stay again, if we ever head back that direction.

We had a great experience here. Very clean, friendly renters and the place was stocked with almost anything you’d need. We traveled with a baby and they had a crib. Great place and would definitely come back again.

Like a Steven King Novel

This is a basement unit under a family with kids. I didn't catch that when I initially booked or I would have chosen a different spot. The noise wasn't bad and I have kids of my own, so no big deal.

The owner, however, is frightening. He greeted me when I arrived and that's when I found out I was going to be staying in his basement. He was aggressively intrusive from the get go.

On Sunday, he texted me at 7am to invite me to bring my kids to church with his family. I told him that I wasn't Mormon and that this was inappropriate and he responded with a lot of weird "I'm a nice guy" word salad. Later that day when he was removing mice from the window wells, he asked me if my kids wanted to play in his bouncy house. I told him no and that we have plans, and sure enough, when we got back from our outing, he has a giant bouncy house set up right next to the entrance of the unit, so of course my kids wanted to play on it. He had extended family there as well and I got peppered with questions about where I live, how many kids I have, etc. Dude just seems incapable of hearing "no" and was obsessed with getting access to my kids.

The mice in the window wells was trippy and so disgusting. This basement has windows, but they're below ground, so there's a little well around the window to let light in and let the rain go into a drain. Mice kept falling into the wells and couldn't get out. The window wells are right next to the head of both beds and there's another one next to the couch. There would be 2-5 mice in the well at any given time, running around, squeaking, trying to escape. It was horrific. I put a rake in one and a stick in another, hoping they'd escape, but they were cannibalizing each other and unable to get out. It. Was. Awful. My kids thought the mice were so cute, and they were so disturbed that I couldn't stop them falling in the wells!

Don't stay here. I don't know what's going on, but it's not good and it feels like the beginning of a murder podcast.

- Thank you for choosing to stay in our home and leaving a review, as guest feedback is vitally important to us and the success of our vacation rental business.
- We are sorry if renting our basement unit caught you off guard. We are going to remove the photo of the front of our home to eliminate any confusion for future guests.
- Respect and kindness are extremely important to our family, so we're sorry if you thought otherwise.
- The only communication we had with your children, during the stay, was a "hi" when they came over to play on the bounce slide we had already reserved for a party that day.
- Since we live in the country, rodents can sometimes be present. That being said, we immediately addressed this issue while you were there and we had a sprayer come out on July 7th to spray for the voles. This should remediate the issue.
- We are saddened that our character was attacked in your review as we uphold the highest values in our family and certainly don't want anyone to feel like we are invading their privacy.

We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
