  The place could have been better prepared. The yard needed mowed and the place had not been cleaned or prepared. I guess there was a communication problem. The local care people came and did what had to be done but never returned. I do thank them for what they did. The weather wasn't good but noone can predict that.

• Good and bad

  Positives; inside cabin small but cute and decorated nice and had everything we needed. Huge yard on this cabin, was very private even though close to road enjoyed covered front porch on rainy night.Was close to Blackwater Falls where we visited. Parsons was close loved the Depot Cafe..great home cooked meal large portions, town has gas station and small super market there otherwise not a lot else, but Elkins 29 miles away has many more restaurant and store options. Managers were very responsive and stopped by maybe too much lol. But we didn't mind they were great people.Negatives: water was from a well had a horrible smell like rotten eggs and often it came out faucet brown rusty looking. You didn't feel clean after a shower. Back deck was unsafe a couple rotting boards 55 pound dog went through it the first night so we did not use it. Luckily it is not an elevated deck so he was not hurt. We called management and they came over and measured with a plan to replace. Suggestion: leave a key in the cabin so guests can access the dumpster, we had to watch for someone to pull up there to get rid of garbage.

• Worst trip ever we left Early

  The water was nasty taste awful I couldn’t regulate the shower couldn’t get a hold of no one because of the service is so bad.

• Exactly what I hoped it would be!

  This property was amazing. Everything about it was exactly what I wanted. It was private, charming, had great outdoor space. The care that the owner took to decorate it was not unnoticed either. Truly wonderful. I had trouble getting in touch with anyone though. I was given a guest contact and reached out via email and phone but never heard back from her. I had to work through the property management company but even they did not have the necessary info that hadn't been provided - address and lockbox code. They had to reach out to the owner to find it. I did t get the information until the day of check in so it made me very anxious.Once I was there and got in, everything was wonderful.

• Quiet cabin

  Quiet little cabin to get away. Close to done beautiful views. We enjoyed the outdoor space and fire pit. The coffee pot worked when the kurig didn't, so no need to leave the cabin. Limited cell signal, wifi access. Tiny ants all over the kitchen, owner aware.
