  • Wonderful Family Reunion

    5/5

We had a three generation, 37 person family reunion at the lodge. The lodge itself was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and each family was able to get their own room and bathroom. The game room was a hit with the kids and we were impressed with how well-stocked the kitchen was. Everyone spent a lot of time hanging out on the three covered porches enjoying the gorgeous property and watching the kids play on the huge, flat backyard. The lake was wonderful and everyone enjoyed kayaking and swimming. The fire pit area was really nice and large, and was able to accommodate all of us for late night s'mores! It was a perfect fit for us, and I'm sure we will be back!

  • Perfect for big groups

    5/5

Laundry onsite, each bedroom has its own bathroom, accommodations for 30+ people, huge kitchen to cook and where we could all gather to eat...and we had 29 people! Plenty of space to spread out. Loved loved loved the porch...also a porch on the second level. 20-somethings were playing games in the kitchen as the 40- and 50-somethings were gathered upstairs on the HUGE sectional couch and/or playing pool, reconnecting and enjoying an adult beverage. We take turns cooking and the kitchen is well supplied including grilling tools and a fantastic grill with griddle. We literally barbecued hot dogs and burgers for the group in 20 minutes!

I enjoyed peaceful times sitting outside listening to the birds and bullfrogs. I cannot say enough about this place and we're all looking forward to meeting here again for our next family reunion. Clean, beautiful, perfect. What else can I say. Kayaks were a fun added bonus for those who wanted to go out on the private lake. I want to live there!

  • Family Reunion

    3/5

House was large with plenty of bedrooms and baths. We were a group of 27. Quite a drive on narrow roads to get to activities or stores of any type. Only one fridge which is not enough for a large group. Lots of cookware that needs to be tossed out. Remember to bring your own soap. No toilet brushes. Some sinks in baths do not drain properly. Bring your own bath soap. The welcome book needs attention. We did get assistance on 2 nights with a bonfire. One main issue was the bedrooms didn’t have blinds so you are up with the sun. In summary, the home is in need of some attention to detail for sure, especially for the price you pay. Our family has rented homes of this size many times so value for money just wasn’t there.

  • Great Multi-Generation Venue

    5/5

This place was perfect for our group. We had 11 kids and 20 adults all aging from 0 to 74.

There were three main spaces that were huge and open but still felt like separate areas. There was the main living room with lots of couches, the kitchen/ dining room with a huge table, and the upstairs loft with a pool table, bar, and big TV. The pool table room had a nice selection of board games and cards. There was a wood burning fire place upstairs, but we didn't use it. We did use the two gas ones downstairs and that was quite lovely.

Everyone had their own bedroom and attached bathroom. The two big bedrooms were across from each other in one of the upstairs halls. Those were so spacious they served as extra living rooms for those that wanted a little quiet away from the main rooms. Only those 2 big bedrooms had TVs. Lots of pillows and extra blankets in the dressers. The décor was rustic and very fun. Lots of time and attention went into each room.

The outdoors was so nice. It was chilly on our days, so we didn't swim. But we fished quite a bit from the brand new dock and the kids ran around endlessly on the big sweeping lawn. There was a great flat top grill outside that we used several times. We walked around a bit in the woods and made a fire in the fire pit with the provided wood. It was very peaceful.

The kitchen was very well stocked. We had everything we would ever need.

The contact was very responsive with all our questions leading up to the trip and the few questions while we were there.

There were a few imperfections - one of the toilets ran, it was a little dusty, some melted carpet, one of the windows was cracked. But really nothing that bothered us at all. Everyone loved it and wanted to book again for our next family reunion.
