5/5 Great spot for a little outdoors time
5/5 The property was tricky to get to. Apple Maps got us almost all the way there, then the owner’s VERY helpful information packet got us the rest of the way there! The owners thought of almost everything! I loved the laid back vibe that they had too, which just set the right tone for the weekend. We were celebrating a milestone birthday, so we wanted somewhere we could do lots of activities without bothering neighbors, and this place was perfect for that! It’s just secluded enough, but also has some stores within 20 minutes to grab supplies. The owner was very communicative and I felt like I could have reached out at any time and they would have been ready and willing to help. We were sad that there was not a trampoline on the property, but that was the only negative thing I have to say really! The property is ripe for exploring. It’s so serene and they provide all the tools you need to have a successful outdoors trip! 100% would book here again!

Family WV Trip
5/5 I am not sure I describe our trip in words. It was virtually perfect!! When we go home to WV to visit family, we usually stay in a hotel in downtown Charleston. This year we were looking for a unique experience and we hit the jackpot. The whole process was super easy and the owner made it even easier by his willingness to put up with my wide variety of questions, even contacting him while at the property on multiple occasions. The cabin was in great condition, had all the necessary cooking items, we had plenty of room for six adults and two very busy boys under five years old. It had snowed there previous to our visit, then Mother Nature added a few inches while we were there which made the sleigh-riding awesome. I strongly recommend you choose the Serene Mountain Retreat for your next trip to WV. I know it will be as memorable for you and your family as it was for ours!!
