Wanted to find somewhere close to Hayward that wasn't a hotel or a giant house for just 2 people. This cabin was clean and just what we needed for a short stay up north. It isn't too far from Hayward, has lake access right next to the property, firewood on site, and the staff greeted us promptly when we arrived. We recommend staying here!

We felt mislead by the description of the cabin, its location, and the pictures provided. It was an older cabin in disrepair. Although clean, the furniture was dated and worn. The shower very small and towels, while clean, were old and worn. The TV did not work although the manager did arrange for a serviceman to fix it...after she was through fishing in the afternoon. The lake was across a very busy highway. The area leading to what was thought to be a disrepair dock was overgrown with weeds, steep embankment and actually the dock there should have been condemned. The cabin was situated in an area of what appeared to be "seasonal" trailers/campers. It was quiet, perhaps due to the fact we were there Tues Pm-Fri AM and fortunately, cool enough and no need for the broken AC provided.
The picture and description provided in the rental information was misleading and NOT what we found. There was a "cute" stone cottage/cabin on the grounds that was in the pictures provided with the rental jnformation. When I inquired about it, I was told it was in need of repairs. Terribly disappointed is the only way to describe our rental of this cabin.

Hi Peg, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- The professional photos and description on the listing are accurate and reflect the cabin's current state. We don't mention the stone cottage in our listing as it's a separate rental property that can also be booked.
- Our cabin is older and features older furniture, which we’ve selected for its durability and suitability to the space, understanding that guests can be hard on furnishings.
- The shower is small, as depicted in the listing, due to the limited space available in the cabin.
- Thank you for bringing the towels to our attention. We appreciate your feedback and have noted this.
- We’ve inspected the A/C and confirmed that it’s functioning properly.
- We coordinated with the technician to schedule a visit that aligned with his availability. We didn’t specify any details about when we’d be done fishing, as we aimed to address the issue as efficiently as possible.
- The cabin is located near a highway, which is visible in the listing photos and can be viewed on the map so that guests can consider this when booking.
- The docks are maintained regularly, and repairs are made as needed. They're currently in good condition.
We work hard to provide a wonderful guest experience and usually receive high scores and reviews for this property. We look forward to hosting many satisfied visitors.
I liked that it was quiet!

Cabin was clean and had the basics. No frills. Thought it would be in and around trees, but it was right out in the open trailer park area. TV was an issue. Was told no Internet, but didn't find that we had Paramount Plus until last morning. We brought our Fire Stick so git done options. Very small shower and beds were not very comfortable. Overall it was more stly what we needed. Thanks

Their cabin was serviceable for me and my two kids. E we only had one roll of tp, and the supplied towels were pretty bad shape. Beds were very basic and uncomfortable, but not too far from expectations given the price. Some updating and improved quality could really help. I’d consider returning but hope for some improvements.
