  • Good Place, steep stairs, and ants

    Overall the stay was good. The house does the job. The bathrooms are spacious. Beds are comfortable. The living room is fairly narrow which made it kind of difficult to watch a movie. However, if you struggle with narrow stairwells be aware. We also had issues with ants in the kitchen and at the outside porch. The neighbors were a little unkind about parking when we first arrived. Be aware of them possibly coming outside right when you arrive. The cleaning lady was very kind and easy to communicate with.

    We appreciate your feedback about the living room layout and the steep stairwell. As you noted, the home is older and has its quirks, but we understand this may be important for guests to know in advance. We’ll continue to highlight this clearly in our listing.
    Regarding the ants, we’re sorry for the inconvenience and have since started using ant traps to address this issue, both in the kitchen and on the porch.
    As for parking, thank you for mentioning your experience. We do include detailed parking instructions in the welcome book to help avoid any confusion with the neighbors, but we’ll review them again to see if we can make arrival even smoother.
