  The cabin and property was nice. I liked that there was WiFi as well so my daughter could watch movies. The fishing was not the best but we went to other areas near and had decent fishing. I rated it two stars as when we arrived the house was 80 degrees and on the hottest day of the year. I feel that knowing you are having guest the a/c should be turned on so the house is comfortable for guest when they arrived. There was only the one window unit so it took over night for the house to cool down. And the upstairs bedroom needs a unit as well as it never really cooled off in the room. The downstairs shower didn’t hardly run right when the water was set to hot so we just used the upstairs the whole time which isn’t easy when you have a kid. We also had to buy charcoal/lighter fluid for the grill which I feel should be there for guest to use not to have to buy as it’s an amenity included in the cabin. I also feel that for the money I spent for 5 days washer/dryer should be allowed for use as we are staying for a while and need clean clothes and have a child with us. Along with fees spent taking garbage to a dump for 5 a bag should not be a necessity for guest to have to do in my opinion. Yes guest should clean up after themselves but all of the places have stayed paying for garbage to be dumped was never in my fees. There has always been a garbage can that the host pays for or a dumpster near for garbage. I have never had to pay for my garbage to be dumped.

  From the owner: "Hi Kelsie, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We truly value your perspective and appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few things. We haven’t had prior concerns from guests about the temperature in the cabin, as the window AC has typically been sufficient to keep the space comfortable, and the downstairs naturally stays cool. That said, we’ll certainly consider adding a window AC in the upstairs bedroom for additional comfort.
  Regarding the downstairs shower, we’ve never experienced any issues with it ourselves, and past guests haven’t raised concerns either. We’ll be visiting the property this week and will personally check on it. If we find it isn’t functioning properly, we’ll contact a plumber right away.
  As for the grill, it’s noted in our property description that one is provided for guest use, though guests are responsible for supplying their own charcoal and lighter fluid. In terms of laundry, we don’t list a washer and dryer as available amenities, but for guests staying five nights or more, we’re happy to consider providing access upon request.
  Lastly, we don’t charge for garbage disposal. Since our area doesn’t have a disposal service, our welcome packet kindly asks guests to take their trash with them when they leave. We appreciate your understanding, and we’ll always do our best to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable."

• Beautiful cabin with beautiful views

  We rented this cabin as our friends were getting married on Upper Eau Claire and we wanted to be close and on the water. We loved everything about it and the water amenities -- we loved the paddle boat! -- were the cherry in top. We have already talked about renting again.

• Peaceful retreat!

  This is a lovely, well-built and well-furnished cabin nestled in the woods adjacent to a passage within the Eau Claire Lakes region. Lots of nature and quiet evenings. We enjoyed having access to the canoe, rowboat and paddle boat!

• Just what we were looking for!

  This was a cozy cabin that accomidated our family of 5 perfectly! My husband and i wanted a place on a lake to go fishing and to be relatively close to Brule, Wisconsin. We went Kayaking down the Brule and rented kayaks through the Brule Canoe Co. Thanks for a great vacay
