Tha lack of handrails made the site acess difficult for our older adults

The beds were comfortable, the home was very well stocked (both in the kitchen and in the games cabinet) and everything was as described. We had a great time on the lake and would recommend this place without hesitation!A couple notes depending on your situation:- There are a fair number of (somewhat tall and uneven) stairs down from where you park to get into the house and there are two curved stairways in the house as well, so this wouldn't be a great spot for folks with mobility issues- The nearby Ripley Park is a lovely spot with a nice playground and a great beach - but you do have to pay to get in ($5/adult, $2/kid) so be aware of that

Me and my family had booked the house for our church conference weekend, and WE LOVED IT!! Everything was so nice and well organized, the house had literally everything we needed, the view outside was beautiful, we enjoyed our stay, the communication with the owner was great, definitely recommend! And definitely will keep this house in mind for our next trip there!

Great stay in a nice home

We had a great stay at this home. The house was inviting and spacious. The kitchen had was well stocked which was handy as we cooked all our meals during our stay. The bedrooms were nicely furnished and clean. Same with the bathrooms. The sitting areas were large and comfortable. The decor and family photos show how many happy memories this house has made.

The deck was a nice place to gather. The card games were quite spirited. By the way, if you bring children you can leave the toys at home: the giant crate of Legos was well received.

We had fun in the yard, and on the dock. Everyone who fished caught something, and kayaking was a great way to start the day. Tip: bring a net if you want to catch some frogs. The water is clear but yes there is some seaweed as it is a lake after all.

We also had fun in the game room. Yes, my daughter did kick my tail in air hockey.

So, yes , there are a lot of stairs to get to the house and down to the lake but that’s typical for this area. Yes, the lot is quite wooded so you may see spiders, etc but that’s also typical. Check in and out was easy and Marc was responsive to our only question.

Keep the TVs off, only use the phone for photos and enjoy the people around you and this home.

The house was nice, but was left not cleaned up. It was as if we were the first people in the house this summer. The water was terrible, weedy, mucky. No way to get in and out of kayaks safely. Ladder at dock would make it more usable.

There were many rules for guests to follow in a house that was left not ready for guests.

The door across basement stairs did not latch securely, we did have a 2 year old and we needed to keep a cooler in front of it for safety purposes.

The house did not give a fair warning about all the not so easy stairs outside, road to house stairs.

The area was nice so would consider renting again in the area.

- We use a cleaning service to have the home professionally cleaned before each guest's arrival. We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed addressing. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home.
- Lake weeds are removed periodically, but not on a weekly basis. We try our best to provide a great environment for guests, but the amount of weeds in the water is simply out of our control.
- We are installing stairs this summer for easier lake access for kayaks.
- The latch on the basement door will be inspected on our next visit to the property.
- The listing does state that the property has a lot of stairs and those with limited mobility may find it difficult, but we are sorry if this caught you off guard. Additionally, we use professional photography for the home, so the features you see on the listing are accurately advertised. We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking, to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs.
