Andrea4/5 We enjoyed the property and being right on the river. Location is good and very close to town. The home is spacious and we enjoyed the rustic feel especially the wood stove. Unfortunately the stove in the basement was not functioning during our stay which made most of the basement unusable due to how cold it was downstairs. A single small space heater was provided could only warm one bedroom, I’m not sure what we would have done if we had kids needing the bunk room as it was freezing in there. I wish it would have been communicated ahead of time.

We wish you had reached out about the downstairs being cold. There is an electric heat thermostat that is used for the downstairs area. You must not have seen it, but we could have told you where it was so that it was nice and toasty for you.
We appreciate your feedback.5/5 We loved staying at this property for our hockey tournament in Winthrop. Plenty of space for our group and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, the woodstove and hanging out in the large living room space. Also love the access to the river. Thanks for having us and we plan on returning next year!

5/5 We had a great family vacation. The cabin is close to the river and we enjoyed watching the wildlife. Winthrop is a great area for an outdoors vacation. The pool table was a big hit with all the family.

5/5 This is a great location and nice property. We loved the location. The property yard is mostly native forest between the house and the river which is very appealing to us. One thing that surprised us was that there is a second cottage that is also rented on the same lot and very close to the house. It was no problem as the other guests were very quiet and respectful. There was ample parking for trucks and cars. I did find that kitchen counters needed additional cleaning when we arrived but otherwise it was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We’re a group of six men and the taller men found the downstairs bunks to be too short. Probably great for kids but a bit short for 6’ men. All in all, it’s a great place and super convenient to Winthrop.
