  And I dont want to go overboard and then have you all flock here so we cannot get a reservation again! Selfish us to want to keep hush about it. So so lovely! The owners are super responsive and kind. The lush greenery made me feel like we were in a rainforest. There are plenty of outdoor games in a compact space, like badminton. Nice swing under grape vines. It could be sunny just 500 ft down the way but a fog bank at Happy Valley might settle in to give you some variety. But don't forget, ypu can drop down to Shilshoe Bay in just a few minutes. Amazing restaurants, like Ray's Cafe a short drive away in Ballard.

  The house has these adorable windows upstairs. If you like quaint architectural features of 1930's, this may be the place for you.

• Comfortable house!

  This house served us well (couple and kids who took the upstairs, grandma who took downstairs). We are a family who like to cook together which was ok in the small sized kitchen but we would have liked some more pans to be able to cook a dinner and better knives to prepare it. Kitchen would become higher points with attention to a coherent set of dishes, pans , knives, cutlery and essentials. Kind touch with waters in fridge upstairs and down and great coffee setup. We felt welcome.

• Happy Valley House

  We had a great few days with family in the Happy Valley House. Definitely not hotel-like -- much more like staying with a friend. Older house but obviously good bones and well maintained; furnishings a bit quirky but memorable. Well thought out. Nice patio for dining or just enjoying the evening. Host was very gracious and responsive to questions. Definitely a keeper; we'll be back!

  cute, nice house on nice property, with a qwerky flare, but very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood. well decorated, plenty of sleeping room for families, or friends. Owners were very available for questions.
