This house suited our family very well for a meaningful family gathering. It is very large with lots of different living and sleeping spaces, and was clean and welcoming when we arrived. Unfortunately we were really looking forward to using the fireplace (listed in the advertisement, and one of the reasons we selected this property) after a cold, rainy day outdoors, and we were disappointed to learn after arriving that it was not available for guest use. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

The house has the most amazing views and is an easy walk 15 mins to the town. The house was so well set up and had everything you could want and more. The host was absolutely amazing and quick to respond . When we had some trouble with getting there they were so flexible and allowed us to have a late checkout. Overall an amazing experience and would definitely return.
The place was beautiful and we had all the necessities plus some extras. It was just the right size for my husband and I and our 3 grown children and their partners as well as our two grandchildren. The only drawback was a lot of stairs to get to the bedrooms which was tough on my arthritic hips.

We rented this house for a family birthday and had an excellent time.
Pluses: Very clean, great local contact and owner communications, the views!, dog friendly with a fenced yard, lots of space for family, location.
We did a lot of cooking, but can recommend New Day Eatery on Front Street, the Kokopelli grill, and Buena Luz Bakery.
The Olympic Discovery Trail is right below the house. Walk back to Victoria Street, take a left, and you'll end up at the 9/11 memorial with steps down to the trail.
We saw the resident orca group twice from the windows during high tide. I don't think that happens often. We were lucky.
I do have one quibble. We're cooks and the kitchen is in need of a stainless set of mixing bowls, more plates and serving dishes, and more bakeware.
We were still able to cook and serve excellent meals. And the owner and local contact were so nice I'm sure they would have provided more if we'd asked. Still, one trip to a garage sale would provide a better cooking experience.
That is just a quibble. We had an excellent family vacation and would stay there again.

We had a nice time at this home as our base of exploration for Olympic National Park. The house was easy to access and comfortable. Gorgeous deck right on the bay on which we enjoyed morning coffee and watching the resident marmot collect apples from the tree in the yard. View was unparalleled. House was obviously older but common spaces were updated nicely. No major complaints but beds were not very comfortable and we did not appreciate having to collect our trash and linens before departure. Otherwise, an excellent stay.
