Riverfront Home w/ Deck, Near Mount Rainier!

  This house is very comfortable and quiet on the Cowlitz River near Packwood. The owner has thought of everything to make the guest comfortable, from the well-stocked kitchen with stainless steel high-end appliances to the night lights and the extra make-up pads and extra razors in the bathrooms. There is a large, modern deck with a hot tub, grill, and fire pit! The sound and view of the river is fantastic. The rooms were spotless when we arrived. Kelly responded very quickly and fixed all our issues on the first day. The only real downside for this house is that it's about 12 minutes away from Packwood and Highway 12.

  Now for the bad news. There doesn't seem to be any care taken to check some supplies or make sure things work. The sink in the hall bath was dripping badly, and the knob to redirect the water to the showerhead was *missing*! (I wonder why the previous guest didn't report this and how the cleaner(s) could rinse the bathtub without turning on the shower?) The second couple with us had to use the shower off the main bedroom the first day. On the positive side, Kelly got someone out the first evening to fix both issues. Issue #2: Both the salt grinder and pepper grinder were completely empty. The only thing we needed for grilling our food was salt & pepper! There were two large Morton salt containers, so we poured some into a little dish, but the only "pepper" in the cupboard was Red Pepper. Luckily for us, Kelly came through again and had a neighbor bring over a salt and pepper shaker for us. Issue #3 was that we noticed the air intake for the HVAC was *filthy* as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. This implies the air *filter* hasn't been changed in years also, which means the air is dirty. Issue #4 was that some of the screens had big holes in them, so the second couple didn't want to open the windows because bugs could fly in.

  I booked directly with Evolve because I had done research on them for a Software Engineering job opening, and I liked their focus on attention to detail. I'm sure they checked out the house when it was first put on their system, but it doesn't look like they have any method of checking the quality of the home's maintenance. I think the issues were initially a big deal, but Kelly's quick actions allowed us to relax for the rest of our stay.

  We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place. Listing and pictures accurate, well equipped, quiet, and view is amazing! Great communication with owner.

  The house was perfect! The listing showed the house well. It was super clean. All the sheets and towels were super soft. The couches were perfect for snuggling in a blanket to read. The neighborhood was quiet and the view of the river was amazing!

  This beautiful home is inviting tastefully decorated and very clean and comfy. It’s quiet you can hear the river which I loved. So many attention to details of what you may need while there. Even treats, and breakfast. It’s a mobile home however, you would never know it from the inside. Although my stay was in late summer I think the winter would be just as wonderful. Wood stove a good book, and there is a skiing nearby. Packwood is charming and loved seeing the Elk. We stayed while visiting Mt. Rainer. This host thought of just about every detail and possible needs of the guests.
