• Floor plan is good

  The layout was good for our visit. It allowed for room to enjoy family visits. The kitchen was clean, functional and spacious.

  The main room was comfortable, appreciated the additional blankets throughout the home.

  I don't suggest needing to use the third bedroom for an adult to sleep, it was very uncomfortable. Might be ok for a kid.

  Overall, it was a good option for our 9-night stay.

  We enjoyed our stay because we were close to family. But we would NOT stay here again. Overall, the unit was poorly equipped and uncomfortable.

  My goal here is to show the owner how to improve this unit.

  Back porch:

  There's no deck furniture to enjoy the deck. Please add some back deck furniture.

  There is a fire pit but its unusable. Please clean it out and add some chairs around it to make it enjoyable.

  No AC:

  This would be fine if you could open the windows to get some airflow. You cant because only 1 window has a screen. Everytime the windows were open, flies & bugs fly in.

  There's only 1 ceiling fan between dining & living room. It would very helpful to have a floor fan for the living area.

  Electrical:

  Every single plug makes our adapters get VERY hot

  Kitchen:

  -There are no mixing bowls

  -No large knife, no pairing knife, only steak knives

  -Need larger sheet pan/s

  -Dishwasher falls forward while trying to load it. It isn't fully installed and secure

  -There is a Keurig and a small 4-cup coffee maker.

  With 4 to 6 people staying there, there needs to be a full size coffee maker

  Living room:

  TV remote needs new batteries

  TV's ability to stream rarely worked

  Furniture:

  There needs to be comfortable seating for 6 in the living area with end tables. We could only seat 4 people and not very comfortably. 3 people must sit on the couch and one person can sit on the chair. The couch is literally coming apart where the back cushions are attached to the back of the couch.

  There needs to be a fan in the living area to keep air moving.

  Bathrooms:

  There are 2 bathrooms. In the master, there's a sign that says not to flush trash, which is totally reasonable. The hall bathroom sign says dont flush toilet paper. So, we were unsure on exactly what to do. Signs need to be consistent.

  We have a septic and we flush our toilet paper everyday. We've lived there for 8 years with no problem.

  The toilet paper holder in the master bedroom needs repair. Its not installed properly. Every time you try to use it, the tp falls onto the floor, rolls across the floor, and then you can't reach it cause you're sitting on the toilet! So frustrating

  Bedrooms:

  There are no ceiling fans in the bedrooms. There needs to be a ceiling fan above every bed due to no ac.

  There's a very slippery rug next to the beds. We slipped and almost fell. Please put a non-slip rug pad beneath the rug to hold it in place.

  I encourage the owner to actually stay here and see what's needed.

  Hi Shelly, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
  -We are in the process of adding deck furniture and cleaning out the fire pit. Chairs will also be placed around the fire pit to make it a more enjoyable space.
  -We are working on adding screens to more windows so you can comfortably open them without letting bugs in. Additional fans, including a floor fan for the living area, are also being considered.
  -We will have an electrician inspect the outlets to ensure everything is safe and functioning properly.
  -The kitchen will be restocked with mixing bowls, a larger knife, a paring knife, and larger sheet pans. The dishwasher will be secured to prevent it from tipping forward. A full-size coffee maker will also be added to accommodate larger groups.
  -We’re looking into updating the seating to comfortably accommodate six people and will make sure the TV remote has fresh batteries. The streaming issue will be investigated to improve the TV experience.
  -The signage in the bathrooms will be made consistent, and the toilet paper holder in the master bathroom will be properly secured to prevent it from falling.

  The accommodations were nice. From a firm, nice pillow, to fresh new linens. All items that were needed in the kitchen were there for us to use.
