The property was as described. The beach access was just a few steps down the street. Neighbors close by but never felt like we were being watched. Everything you need to make food and BBQ. Water was brackish, but Office size water bottle provided for cooking, making coffee, brushing teeth. Would definitely visit the property again. First time using VRBO, will look more closely next time at the additional charges on top of property rental.

The view out the front window was beautiful. But the internet was almost nonexistent at night so the smart tv didn’t work either and I couldn’t get work done on my computer. The front door screen was torn when we got there and the coffee carafe broke as I was filling it with water. The bed was comfortable and we slept great!

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at our property, Pat. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful view and had a comfortable night's sleep.
-Regarding the internet issues you experienced, we're surprised to hear this as we typically provide reliable and fast internet service. Upon investigation, we discovered that the modem had become unplugged during your stay, which likely contributed to the connectivity issues. The cleaning crew reconnected the modem upon their arrival following your stay. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
-Regarding the broken screen, we would like to clarify that it was damaged by the guest just before your stay, and unfortunately, there was not enough time to repair it before your check-in. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused during your stay.
-If you ever encounter any issues during your stay, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly so we can assist you in resolving them. We value your feedback and strive to ensure all our guests have a pleasant experience.
Thank you again for choosing to stay with us, and we hope to welcome you back in the future!
We arrived at 4:09 PM to the easiest check in ever. Due to the extreme list of do's and don't by VRBO and EVOLVE we did a compulsory look thru. the sink on the right was greenish, we had to shovel the slippery snowy walk way, the mirror in the bedroom frame had a big chip out of it and the vacuum cleaner was full.
Normally we would walkin, and unload. You could tell the place had recently undergone updates. Cute little Cottage, but horribly close to neighbors and the smoke lay so low you could not see the lake across the street. This brings us to the view, awesome from the bedroom, but no TV to watch the football games in there and not really much phone service. The no phone was OK, but sort of hard to reach out to find out why the stove was out of service and why the tap water was a greenish yellow. From the living room you had a lovely TV but had to go outside on the deck to see the lake - nice deck and cooking options, if there had been lighting. We ended up leaving a day early and letting them know when we had reception. So paid for a day we didn't use.

Hi Nancy, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
- Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are dedicated to ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience, so we were disheartened to learn of the issues you encountered during your stay.
- As is standard for vacation rentals, guests are asked to complete a few small tasks, like removing their own trash, as part of checkout, but we're sorry if this caught you off guard.
- I'd like to clarify that any note left on the stove about it being out of service while awaiting maintenance should have been removed before your arrival. The necessary servicing had been completed before you checked in. Additionally, we do provide firewood, an amenity that goes beyond what many other accommodations offer.
- It's worth noting that during your visit, there might have been weather-related challenges, such as fog that obscured the lake view, but assure you it was not smoke. While we endeavor to prepare the pathways and deck in advance, changing weather conditions can sometimes impact these efforts despite our best attempts. We equip the property with shovels and deicer for guest use in such instances.
- Regarding the water, the purification system was recently serviced to ensure sanitary conditions. During the low winter season, prolonged inactivity of pipes might result in slight discoloration, which our local property managers promptly rectified.
- As for cellular reception, it can vary based on providers, but our high-speed internet reliably supports wifi calling. Please note that the absence of a TV in the bedroom aligns with our listing photos, but we apologize if this was unexpected for you.
Thank you for taking the time to share your observations. We value your input as it helps us improve our guests' experiences.
Thanks for letting us know about your stay!
The lake house is a lovely, comfortable home. It was the perfect place to spend a long weekend with our college student.
