  The place was great. Spacious, clean and exactly what we needed. If I had to say anything I would have liked less bees on the back porch.

  It was very comfortable and we enjoyed it very much. There was one Neigbor that had an annoying dog and the dog kept coming where we were trying to bbq and the neighbor seemed to be very intoxicated and not very helpful in removing the dog.

  We strongly advise potential renters to beware, as the property is significantly misrepresented by its online photos. This property is in a serious state of disrepair, posing numerous comfort and safety hazards. There are a number of nice hotels and B&B’s in LaConner for the same price.The house is run down, with floors that are noticeably sloped in various directions, making walking disorienting and unsuitable for toddlers or older guests. Many kitchen appliances are falling apart or not working properly. The gas stove often fails to light properly and has broken seals within the oven door. There are non-functioning lights, a clogged bathroom sink, and no shower soap or shampoo provided.There are exposed electrical outlets and improperly sealed junction boxes. The fireplace exterior chimney is dangerously close to curtains and the exterior siding. There is black mold in the floor grout in the large shower. The property is plagued by an unpleasant odor perhaps due to a water drain issue with either the washer or shower. With only a few windows opening and no screens on most doors or windows, the house quickly becomes hot and bug-infested. Ants were a constant problem. Window seals were broken on two of the big view windows that were constantly fogged up/dirty.Despite the considerable cost, including required insurance and cleaning, guests are still required to strip beds, start laundry, take out the trash and run the dishwasher. We do not recommend this property.

As mentioned in our follow-up, we already have time set aside shortly to address these items. With the home being booked almost daily, it can be challenging to make larger updates between guests, but we are committed to improving where needed.
  
  Regarding the kitchen stove, it only has difficulty lighting if a burner cap becomes slightly misaligned during cleaning. The propane stove in the living room is no longer in use and is scheduled for removal. While this is an older home and not a modern 5-star resort, we take pride in keeping it clean, spacious, and comfortable so that guests can enjoy the unique waterfront setting in LaConner."

  The house is very well located--right on the water affording it excellent views and access to the beach--as well as close to downtown La Conner. Additionally, the kitchen, bedrooms and linens were all well-stocked. The owner was kind enough to call ahead to explain a few things about the property and share a few suggestions for our visit. The only downsides was the property has a little musty smell but it aired out quickly. And for whatever reason, there wasn't any shower soap or shampoo. Overall, I'd recommend booking this house for your vacation.
