• Wonderful Stay

  Just home from a lovely stay on Whidbey Island, and we couldn’t wait to share! The property itself is special. Beautiful views including peeks of Mt Baker; beachcombing; regular deer visits; and so very peaceful — such a serene setting.

  We had a great dinner in Langley the first night, an easy drive, and scones and coffee at Jupiter Scones one morning (which the hosts had recommended and was a sheer delight), checked out some of the other local beaches, but for the most part, hung out at ‘home’. The house is truly a home, you can tell the owners thoughtfully and lovingly curated each room with the goal of comfort, charm, and functionality. From my experience, it’s rare to find a rental that feels so personal because of the little touches.

  If you like to cook, you will love this kitchen. Open, roomy, well-lit and everything you need. The pots and pans were so great I’m considering an upgrade at home!

  Things important to me: extremely clean and well-cared for premises; hot water was immediate in the shower; the heaters are in each room with separate controls and completely intuitive; fantastic to be able to do laundry, let alone in a very bright sunroom atmosphere; and it was clear the hosts were committed to our experience being great, and it absolutely was.

  We will definitely return, and explore more of the island, we loved everything we did see!!

  Had a wonderful star-filled evening and memorable sunrise (set the alarm). Just the view and peaceful surroundings put me into a great mood all day. Beachwalks, scones, hillside hikes, burgers and Fort Casey views of the sunset completed our day. Tea/fire/and blanket snuggles w my wife made for a perfect weekend. Looking forward to doing this again!

• Lovely Whidbey Island Retreat!

  Had such a wonderful little get away at this beautiful house! The house itself is cozy, comfortable, and well stocked. The living room is very comfortable and well decorated with big windows that overlook the large property (we saw some dear in the morning nibbling on the lawn!), perfect for a cozy movie night or sipping morning coffee. The kitchen is well equipped with efficient, modern appliances and high quality cookware.

  The location of this stay is really excellent. It is remote enough to feel like a getaway, but close enough to lots of fun spots on the island that there is plenty to do if you are wanting to explore. We took a quick drive over to Coupeville and enjoyed the shops and water views there.
