Calling all anglers! The nearby Skykomish River and its tributaries are home to chinook, coho and pink salmon, along with steelhead and bull trout - a true fisherman's dream! Although 'The Owl's Nest' is not waterfront, it is just a short walk through the woods via a county land trail to hundreds of yards of prime fishing waters. As an added bonus, the Reiter Steelhead hatchery is located a quarter mile upstream, popular for recreational fishing
When you're not hanging out on the river, there's a plethora of other fresh air adventures you can embark on! Eagle Falls is a short drive from the property and features a swimming hole perfect for the whole family. Hit the trails in Henry M. Jackson Wilderness Area, go mountain biking or hiking up to Wallace Falls and Wallace Lake, or venture further to explore the beautiful Alpine Lakes and Wild Sky Wilderness. You'll also find Lake Serene and the Bridal Veil Falls Trailhead just a short drive away! There are many additional hikes in the area for you to explore during your stay.
In the snowy months, this recreational paradise transforms into a winter wonderland! Just 34 miles away, you'll find the Stevens Pass Ski Area, which is a 1,125-acre winter sports complex with 37 runs, a terrain park, night skiing and a summertime bike park!
Too tired from your adventures to cook? No worries! Gold Bar is a quick 2 miles away and offers a wide selection of pizza joints, Mexican restaurants, espresso bars, and many other food and grocery options.

Lovely place
4/5 Overall the stay was great. The hot tub is well kept and very clean. The house is adorable and very lovely.
Not the best looking neighborhood. More people than I expected, but a pretty quiet neighborhood.

Cozy, relaxing retreat
5/5 Great retreat into the woods. Hot tub with umbrella (if you don't want to get sprinkled on), gazebo with fire pit and lights (was a lovely way to be outside at night with the rain). House was fully appointed and easy to find things. Full handbook from the owner complete with hiking recommendations. Great communication before, during, and after with the owner!

5/5 We really enjoyed our stayed in the Cabin. So cozy and we love all the decorations! We had all we need. The house was very clean and also the hot tub that we enjoyed almost every night!

5/5 Wife and sister loved hot tub. Pictures online are exactly what we saw. Quiet neighborhood, slept well as beds were comfortable. First stay of this type for us as we were attending a wedding in the area. As others noted neighbor has messy property but we never saw them or heard them. Most houses are well kept. If I have a reason to go back I would stay again. Owner made sure I knew what I needed and was easy to contact. Overall good first home rental. Everyone seemed pleased with the place.
